Hey there BLF. Of course I’m a bit late to the game on the EC11 bandwagon, but here is my review for it. I tested runtimes and outputs with CR123A batteries and a 18350 lithium ion. I have found the light does not have low voltage protection, so make sure you use a protected cell, or just check the voltage often with the built in indicator. I found through my testing, that this is the smallest and brightest light I have yet reviewed. Anyway check out the review for all the details.

Yeah, I was super impressed with the output on lithium ion. One thing that may have not been clear… After the stepdown on turbo on lithium ion, there is PWM- but not during turbo. Using primaries eliminates all visible PWM.
Nice one mhanlen, i wondered where you had got to! I was struggling to choose between this light and the MT10C, i eventually chose the latter but after watching this i’m still not sure i made the right choice, the push button switch at the back making it look outsized in comparison to the battery it takes. It would be great too if the EC11 had a magnet in the tailcap, save popping it in your mouth sometimes when you need an extra hand,
A magnet would be good in a situation like that. I have one in my armytek prime- although I normally use a headlamp when I do stuff like this. I do like mechanical lockout switches in lights, but eswitches give you so many options for user interfaces that it’s hard not to see the advantages. I love mode shortcuts, and those aren’t really possible with a mechanical.
