Thanks guys, bump for today’s progress….
So many more intricate parts that I want to do…… time will tell.

Very cool build. I almost used that same reflector from FT. It seems to be a pretty good reflector.
Good recovery. The timber work turned out nicely.
It’s pretty thin, & mine came with a few small dings in it, but for a couple of bucks….
I used their ‘protective box’ shipping upgrade, as a few guys who tried to buy them ended up getting a squashed piece of alloy in their mailbox….
Tell me about it. I though mine was going to be simple. The devil, Murphy, Puck, and all their friends are hanging out in a club called “THE DETAILS”.
Bump for today’s work (end of post #4).
I like how people are incorporating wood into their builds, it gives flashlights, err… hand mortars, a whole new dimension. Keep it up, this is going to be a good one.
Cool, I really dig this build. Looking forward to more.
Nicely done with the battery holder.
Nice recovery. I thought l'd seen it all but no, modified Phillips heads. What Phillips heads.
Sunday morning, off to work I go……
Bump for today’s work in post #5
Not a lot to see for today’s efforts (apart from the TEST FIRE!!)
A lot of time wasted re-wiring the battery pack & re-doing the end plate again, but better than frying the emitter….
I'd love to see a dozen members on this forum build a joint effort light using basic tools. I could not imagine what the end product(s) would look or work like. Nice comeback with the wiring.
Minor mid-week update at the end of the first post.
The driver that I re-programmed has now been upgraded with FET & Zener mods.
Looks like you’re gonna make it. That is unless you start engraving the stock and inlaying brass. 0:)
Will this be big enough to fit in a gun rack? It would be a hoot to see it in the gun rack of a truck driving down the street.
@ RBD - I have a few dress-up ideas, but strictly ‘bolt-on’. I don’t want to trash the stock at this stage of the game….I’ve already avoided snapping it in half in the drill press….
@ScottyH - no, it’ll come up a little short for a rack, although over here if you were to carry it around in public you’d likely get pulled up in a hurry & have some explaining to do… I’m telling you Officer, it’s a flashlight. ON THE GROUND, NOWWWW!!!
U started little bit slow but its nice too see that are progressing strong. If u manage good i think you can do it in time. Waiting for some good beam shots. Mt g2 looks interesting especially in powerfull lights.
Bump for today’s progress (end of post#5).
Lots of bits appearing. It looks like your almost there.
