I was digging around in a Chinese forum and decided to summarize some test results I found for for the new LG INR18650-MJ1 3,500mAh 18650 on my blog.
A taste:
Looks like they hold up nicely at higher current too.

Not sure why this received zero replies.
Thanks for posting. Definitely looks nice.
Do we know where we can pick up a couple of these cells. I know that RMM will have the MH1's but I am also very interested in these MJ1's, especially for the BLF A6 that we are working on.
Not out for sale yet. Supposedly available in June. And the Samsung 35E 3500mAh in May.
Sounds like I should stop buying batteries now and save for when this wave comes in.
3500mah and still capable of 10A is awesome for us, but also for every other industry that uses these cells. Tool packs come to mind.
A 10A discharge down to 2.5V yielded an average capacity of 3281mAh.
That's what I am thinking but I keep finding deals on 25R's and HE2's...very hard to pass up :)
I know what you’re saying. I have two 25R’s from illumn. I was going to buy more, but then I nabbed a bunch of 20R’s from a toolpack. I’m pretty much set on high output batteries, I’m just waiting for the right high(er) capacity cell to add to my fleet.
But will they be reasonably priced?
But will they be reasonably priced?
RMM said the MH1’s will be $1 or more cheaper per cell than Panasonic PF’s. So maybe these MJ1’s will be the same price as the PF’s? Certainly not 20R cheap, but still reasonable.
Thanks for posting. Its nice to see some truly meaningful advancements in 18650 cells. Lets hope the competition starts to heating up and continues to press the technology forward.
Has anyone bought and received one from a reliable seller yet?

Wow, keeppower is insane with their price.
Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500 mAh €6.95
KeepPower 3500mAh (NCR18650GA) €14.95
Any reputable sellers of this battery in the USA?

Thank you for the info. On their site, they have a separate site for USA customers who don’t need to pay VAT taxes.

At this site, the LG MJ1 is 4.75 euro, when multiplied by 1.11 = $5.27. Looks good to me.
Also, this seller seems to have a good reputation with CPF members who use them. There is a note on their site, however, which says shipping time may be long to get from the Netherland to the USA.
I seem to recall someone stating that the owner of that site is an engineer and he does his own capacity tests

Since my work is nearby, I sometimes pick up the things I order from him myself (savings on shippingcost).
He’s indeed some kind of techie, but one with good commercial sensors. Reasonable prices.
When something does not work out, he will try to smooth the blow.
There is no such thing as an out of stock excuse AFTER you order something.
His on-line shop matches his real-life inventory. You can only order what’s in stock.
I have some waiting at the post office from NKON, if i have time to pick them up tomorrow i’ll do a test on my Imax B6 and report here.
Just ordered some LG MJ1 from Mr. Kon. Good to hear he is a decent and honest dealer who tests his own batts. Very fair prices too.
Now I just need to purchase some soft/bare copper wire, make a small loop, and solder onto tops of batteries to make button-tops.
Note: Got the batts in the mail in a little over 1 week using their economical regular mail service. Great service and prices from NKON.
