As one of today’s ‘deal slashers’ at tigerdirect, there is an 8 bay charger with lcd display for free after rebate…shipping is less than $5. I know nothing about this charger but for less than 5 bucks, might be worth a try free charger
Rebates are a gamble. Either they come through or they do not.
No more rebate roulette for me.
Hope someone scores big on it though.
I will never agin buy any item with a rebate. I don’t care how good the deal is. Been cheated so many times.

I also won't deal with rebates that are reimbursed after the purchase unless I like the product and price without the rebate.

the last time I got rebate was from pepboys in the form of debit card, but you can’t draw cash … only can use it for credit purchases only, so I bought a Fenix TK61
it’s like buying 4 new tires and get a Fenix TK61 flashlight

I needed a battery charged for my AA and AAA batteries 2 different chargers was too much to carry. This product makes it easier for me to charge batteries on the go without extra gear to carry.
Does anyone even make separate chargers for AA and AAA? 
The problem with the tigerdirect rebate system is that they have a scam to use a fairly unreliable provider to process and send the rebates (http://www.4myrebate.com). This is how they make their money off you. I got screwed by this company and went through tigerdirects ridiculous (and deliberately difficult to use) tigerdirect customer service claims process to file a claim for a rebate that never made it to me… and still got screwed over. Hours were wasted on the phone trying to interpret cs agents who struggled to speak English. Luckily, my credit card reimbursed me through their chargeback system (as it always does). Through the process, a search turned up dozens of people that got ripped off through the tigerdirect rebate system and the 4myrebate scam. I dont see how this company hasnt been put out of business and still survives after all these years. So its a roll of the dice as to whether or not you’ll ever see a rebate.
Newegg.com now gets most of my computer related business. Ive used them for many years with complete satisfaction through well over 100 transactions.
As for the charger, my best guess is that its probably a complete piece of junk + dumb charger that will greatly shorten the life of your cells. Also, cells are squashed together in 2 groups of 4 to prevent proper cooling between cells. Several have received theirs on SD. No positive comments and one negative comment.

Agreed! Once you have been thru a rebate nightmare, you’ll most likely not do the rebate thing anymore.
On the other hand, STAPLES rebates always have worked . Ahforgetaboutit.

Interesting, I’ve gotten 100% of my rebates back from TigerDirect orders and thats 10+ rebates. No issues. In fact, just got a $20 rebate card in the mail today….
