So now it’s $89.99…SST40 version = $30 + $35 LED + $3 SS Bezel =$68. I get that they need to make profit but it still seems a bit expensive compared to the other versions.
Thanks for the breakdown. I also wondered why the high price tag. Granted they updated to Anduril versus Narsil, but that is freeware. Is the driver so much more for 60+ watts?

I’ve been trying to cancel my order and they are saying the ship date is now 1/31. I was one of the first to order.
My tracking info appeared 12 hours ago. It’s actually shipped!
This is happening to other people as well with parcels from China. My EC01 from aliexpress had been sent back. I think they just resent it (maybe using a different courier?) and if arrived fine. It also came in Banggood packaging so I guess it was sold by them. My SP33, LT1, Yeelight bulb, NI40 all arrived without issue.
Security check…. My first thought is that someone, either at the shipping warehouse or Chinese customs, is opening the package, or X-raying it, to confirm that it contains what it says it does. Thus a failed check would imply that they found something unexpected, something like:
- The box is empty. The person doing the check, or someone who handled the package previously, stole the contents (in this case the light you bought).
- The box contained contraband. Someone who handled the package previously added something Chinese customs objects to.
- The shipper filled out the Chinese export paperwork incorrectly.
More paranoid options are that Bangood never shipped it and are using this as an excuse to renege on honouring the group buy price/coupon, or that Chinese customs officers are blocking Bangood shipments in attempt to extract bribes.
