FREEME ✌ ASTROLUX FT03S SFH55 9300lm & FT03 SFT40 2200lm 1300m NarsilM v1.3 USB-C - ALIVE

Order placed for Ft03, thanks Freeme!

My flashlight is not reporting voltage correctly when doing a battery check. It will flash 3.9V for a fully charged 26800 that I measured 4.1V on a multimeter. Is this a known problem with Narsil? Sorry if it had been asked before.

Unfortunately it's a compile time setting - I was going to add a UI config for it, like Anduril 2 does, but by then, Anduril 2 was already out with it and I never thought Narsil would still be shipping - it really shouldn't be, there's no reason why Anduril 2 can't be used.

There are some voltage drop variances, most likely the diode, but I think the MCU itself could introduce variance as well.

I never had any direct contact with Mateminco/Astrolux/BG so wouldn't have been able to give them an updated version anyway. I have no idea where they are getting it from, or if they are attempting to calibrate voltage at least on a batch basis.

Thanks for your explanation

It’ll be worth the wait. I ordered on day one and was surprised I got it the day before Christmas.

Just got the sfh Mateminco version. Extremely bright and throws good as well. Doesn’t throw as far as the 50.2 version but close with a lot more light output.

I updated the MT70 Mini (FT03 equal) SFN55.2 to Anduril 2. Soldered the leads temporarily:

Here's the SFN55.2. Love the tint - I'd estimate ~5200K by eyeball, but smooth, consistent, no tint shifts:

Will this work?
Is it the same adapter?

It's close but I wouldn't trust it - it doesn't say USBASP 2.0 on it, and the layout of the part locations is different. This is a public board layout design - it should be duplicated identically.

They have one here, left most selection: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001581138352.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.2c9f7d2eThr8ZD&algo_pvid=84306383-de93-408d-97b6-a93b84e1a5b2&algo_exp_id=84306383-de93-408d-97b6-a93b84e1a5b2-4&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000016673143067%22%7D&pdp_pi=-1%3B1.8%3B-1%3BUSD+2.05%400%3BUSD%3Bsearch-mainSearch

Whats up with the MCPCB traces ?

Looks like its a running a series configuration on the split pads? There’s no way this thing uses a boost driver, so what gives?

They cut the trace, not sure why but it came that way.

I see that now. Thanks.

I was thinking that there’s no way this emitter could have dual configuration with 9 chips.

Interested in SFT40 version. Thanks

If this LED it’s so nice - better than SFH55 and SBT90.2? I’ve had MT70 Mini with SBT90.2 in the past, it has nasty tint shift.
It’s worth buying with SFN55.2 from Mateminco on Aliexpress?

In additional to this, I must buy couple of cables like you have?

Yep, it doesn't. I got a couple of these bare LED's in from Neal and the backside has no separation in the + and - pads. I just think they have a MCPCB not properly designed for this LED, guess it was intended for 12V.

That's weird - I have a few SBT90.2 lights and never saw what I'd consider a a tint shift. XP-G3's, XHP50.2, XHP70.2 all have it, plus can be seen in other LED's. TK had a recent post saying no-dome LED's don't have a tint shift because the dome is the source of the tint shifting, varies based on the optics. Forget where she posted it. It's been my experience the flat LED's don't have a tint shift - XPL-HI, XHP35, SBT90.2, and all these new flat Chinese LED's I've tested so far.

Yes. here's where I bought it: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32636925245.html?spm=a2g0o.9042311.0.0.2ac54c4dH7VBqx

May want to check the threads that are dedicated to flashing firmware.
