Warning to potential buyers (2022)
In addition to the 2021 warning below, there are now reports that all the 7135 chips are removed from the driver, and it has no power regulation at all. For example, in this thread , Lumintop turned down a request for the original driver, saying:

The Astrolux S41 / S43 TIR lens is pretty exotic. It’s the same for the MF 01. I would be very surprised if they will use something not locally manufactured but imported.

I am a fan of 26650 lights. I’m not sure why. Perhaps it is because these lights have a familiar girth that naturally fits well in the hand.
However, for too long the 26650 languished. Many lost interest in this cell size… too big, too heavy, not enough energy density. Then when the 21700 cells came out, the outlook for 26650 lights seemed even more dismal.
Now I am happy that the venerable 26650 is having a resurgence, so I am definitely INTERESTED in this MF01 Mini.
Please put me on the list.

They will use one 7x TIR that gets made in China

Perhaps the decision to go with 26650 was based on the wish not to directly compete with the Fireflies E07 (another guess). In any case it worked out for the best… for me.
Tally-ho: You had better instincts about the optic than I. Good job!
Lexel: Are you able to tell us the approximate beam angle of the new 7x TIR?
Or any additional information on anything?
Now April is over. Are there any new information or a new timeline?
