Correct, 4000k is the only tint with the 95CRI option. I wish they had 5000k with 95CRI.
They considered warmer tint options but did not think there would be enough interest.
The 4000k is a really nice tint, I use mine daily. Easily my most used light right now.

However i’ll wait for more info and a few reviews before pulling the trigger. Too much is going on with this new MF01S with very little info. Cell carrier is gone, aux leds are mixed colors voltage dependent, tint vs CRI is unclear although it seems 4000k is the only 95CRI one… Also wondering how Astrolux/Mateminco will manage production across 7 body colors and 3 led tints. Wait and see…

Back when I started I leaned toward warmer. But after obtaining a couple of 4000K lights I realized I went to far. Now my purchases are closer to 5000K these days. I’ve realized it doesn’t help to be a tint snob when you aren’t clear what you prefer to begin with.

@patmurris and everyone, the SST-20 4000k 95CRI used should be the FD2 ones, with great tint.
Edit: FA3 seems to be for something else.
Ordered mine 4000k in angry red.
I doubt it will be the FA3 one because they were only able to get 1,000 of them whereas there is a huge supply of FD2 that they got. Last time I read, they were likely going to reserve the FA3 tint bin for some special lights. Using FA3 in the MF01S will only be enough for about 50 lights.
The product page says Preorder, when are these expected to actually be in stock/ ship?
I’ve never ordered batteries from China before, what do I need to know? Can I ONLY order one 4 piece set per light (so they can be shipped inside the light)?
I have lots of good cells but not matched sets so I’d like to pickup at least two full sets if that’s possible without ordering 2 lights.

According to BG's schedule, shipping date is July 24, 2019. Provided there is no delay from the factory. 1-2 weeks delay (first batch) is not uncommon.
Usually there is a "backorder" gap (last for 2-3 weeks) between 1st and 2nd shipment. Please be mentally prepared.
Stocks quality will only be stabilize from 3rd month (Oct) onward.

Last I heard the FA3 are planned to be used in another light entirely.
All of the production MF01S should be FD2 based on the last information I got.
are they still mixing AUX leds like that in the video on the retail products?
It’s unknown at this point. We have to wait and see. Maybe the manufacturer can test it.
