I wonder if it can reach the distant tower, circled? I notice the SBT90.2’s beam “floods out” at its “tip”. I was hoping with a large enough reflector, it would be a tighter hotspot. This hotspot looks as “loose” at its tip as my Acebeam K75.
According to here on the BLF GT90 sale page, the head diam is 135 mm and the reflector I.D. is 118 mm. Rated throw is 1850 kcd. I don't have one, didn't buy or was given one, even though it's stated to be running my firmware, but then again, it says it runs Anduril, so who knows...
I mean 17% more throw than the GT90 is good but is it worth the extra size? Instead of making the reflector so deep they should’ve made it wider IMO. I guess we’ll just have to wait for reviews as we can’t always trust manufacturers numbers. I do have a feeling it might be a bit underrated. Hopefully I’m right.
I meant throw, not intensity. I don’t know the size but the depth seems quite a bit more. Weight could be more than the GT aswell. Hopefully it’s not though. I’m sure it’ll be a great mlight and the new throw king but I hope the performance difference is enough to justify the extra size compared to the GT90 and K75.
