Maybe, but that is not related to the FW1AA, just with the “original” design, namely the FW3A/FW1A.
So I expect the FW1AA to be out, without relation to the FW3A
I’m sure it will but the comments on quality and disappointing outcome of the relationship effects my opinion of Lumintop. I won’t by buying FW1A.
They are related in that they both come from the same company and are presumably affected by the same decision making processes. So the FW1AA’s history gives an unpromising prognosis for the FW3A.
I’ve never heard of a flashlight with a controlled bill of materials (BOM) but maybe it is time for that.
Hum, I understand what you say! That info on the FW3A is surely disappointing, specially for people that would like to have the “regular” FW3A/FW1A. I bought mine from the first and second batches, and despite all, I’m happy with those 
I do hope that the FW1AA comes in similar shape as the FWAAs I got, though.
Hum, the drivers are different, the FW is different, so I am not sure if they will change much from the FWAA to the FW1AA, at least not in the 1st batch of the last one. Maybe later they will do that, and maybe it will take the route of the FW3A.
It would not be nice if they adopted something similar to the new FW3A on the upcoming FW1AA, but I hope they don’t do that.
We can also remember that the FW3A and the following family (14500s not included) had several variations and changes, so maybe that was what led to the decisions made (reaching a wider public with different types of uses). Still, it is not pleasant to know what was posted on the other thread.
This said, I hope the FW1AA sees the “night” light soon…and in similar shape and functions and specs as the FWAA. :+1:
