OK, I just received my PL47 and everything appears to be working great. My only problem is… how do I make the little purple lights in the switch turn off?
You can’t. You can turn off two of them with the aux leds, but that’s all.
But I too wish you could turn them off!

No, I didn’t implement a dragon breath mode. It seems like a waste of power, especially on Fireflies lights since the aux LED board isn’t compatible with that and two of the four button LEDs are always on regardless.
Moon doesn’t use a sleep state; it just underclocks the MCU and uses idle mode whenever possible. That’s why it’s ~1.7 mA instead of ~5.5 mA.
Yeah… two of the four button LEDs are hardwired directly to power. They can’t be turned off without disconnecting power.

I’ve had my PL47 for a few days, and I really like it. This is my first light with Anduril, and I am super impressed with the UI. The build quality is good, and I’ve had no fitment issues with the Vapcell Tesla/Sanyo battery.
It’s a bad headlamp, even with a better headband. It may be compact, but it’s too heavy, and the spot is too narrow (at least for the XPL Hi version that I have). I don’t really care, I kind of expected that when I bought it.
I love the beam pattern for general use though, it’s tighter than an XPL Hi Emisar D4 even with the 10621 optic, and I believe it’s a little brighter too, though I have no objective way of measuring that. The aux LEDs look amazing as well.
All the QC issues I’d been reading about had made me nervous, but I guess I got lucky.
Yes you got lucky… my pl47 xpl hi 5000k is fine… pl47 219b is no good.
+1. I posted bout mine on the other thread, but mine is about perfect as well: SST-20 4000K 95+ CRI in Champagne. Love the beam and tint and agree the UI and aux LED's are impressive, similar enough to Narsil though I haven't tried fixed modes or thermal reg, though in stock, it was backing down quickly, but it got hot quickly too - I measured 19.9 amps on a 40T. Was hard to measure lumens and throw but got about 19.5 kcd, ~2800 lumens at start but backs down quick.
I'm not a fan of the below max ramping - see if i can fix that ramping to max, dbl click to max is the light for me...
The tracking number for my PL47 shipped to Canada on Nov 18 (40 days ago) still shows nothing on the Deutche Post site. I assume shipments to Canada were consolidated in Germany since I was given a German registered mail tracking number rather than the usual China ePacket. Can Fireflies/Freeme please confirm whether PL47s have actually been dispatched to Canada yet?
Go into ramp config and do 1 click on the second config stage. Now you have max ouput set to double click from off and at top of the ramp.

That can be changed with a single trip through the ramp config menu:
- Turn the light on.
- Click 4 times to enter ramp config mode.
- At the second buzz, click once.
- Wait for the light to go back to the normal usage mode.
This sets the ceiling to the maximum value, so a double click will go to full turbo even when the light is off.

For the GT, they made me do it -- didn't want to. Easy compile setting in NarsilM but you have to mod the code and re-download, while in Anduril, it can be done like this - by the user in configuration.
Dunno if this is ok or not, but on tactical strobe, making it brighter changes full OFF/ON to only partial OFF. It does get brighter but strobe turns into a flicker. I might be doing something wrong though, but pretty sure I'm on tactical strobe because the next dbl click takes me to lightning mode.

I’m not sure I understand. The party strobe and tactical strobe modes don’t have a control for brighter/dimmer. They only have faster/slower.
