Ahhh, ok. The diagram says dimmer/slower? But that explains it - wasn't quite sure there interpreting the diagram, and the written part, I wasn't sure what they meant. So making strobe fast makes it look like barely a flicker I suppose -- think that's what I'm seeing. That's ok, now that I understand what's happening.

With the strobes, it’s usually necessary to wave something around in front of the light to see the effect of speed changes. Or point it at a moving fan, or falling water.
Same for me. Got the shipping / tracking number on Nov 18th and still nothing. Tracking number doesn’t work either.
Same thing. I hope I’ll receive it this year.

I usually receive late packages Friday
I’ve spoken to the Post Office worker, and he said that he delivers the most packages usually Friday since it gives him less work the next week.

I just received mine yesterday and I am having issues with the UI. I always look to see what I am doing wrong but can’t figure it out. I thought my experience with my D4 and D4s would make this one pretty straight forward but it has not. I can’t switch between ramping and stepped. The ramping has a small range and when I double tap for turbo it just turns off the light. I am new to the flashlight world so to speak (a little over a year) however I have not had any UI issues until now. Any help would be appreciated because I really like the light.
Did you take it out of Muggle mode?
I had it working last night meaning ramping from low to hi and then it stopped working with that full range. To answer your question I don’t know. How do I do that? Again I apologize for my lack of experience and knowledge.
6 clicks from off toggles muggle mode on and off
Yes I did do that. I will spend more time with it tonight and try to get more familiar with the UI. Thanks for your help.
I think you actually turned muggle mode on from how you described what the light was doing. Try the 6-click again.
3-click while light is one should instantly switch between smooth and stepped ramping but it must be ON first. 3-click from off is battery check, temp, etc.
I have only been a member for a month and a half and still the wealth of knowledge and the willingness of my fellow BLF members to share it is awesome. I will take all suggestions to heart and I thank all you have helped with such a small request.
Actually the 3 clicks with the light ON had me confused from the manual. The OFF state in the diagrams are clear, but I guess the ON states is assumed if not in a OFF loop, if you know what I mean...
Anyways, with the light ON, the 3 clicks to switch between smooth ramping and modes is working well now for me. Thanx!!
That is definitely muggle mode. Some lights ship in that mode by default, but 6 clicks should take it back to the regular UI.
I don’t think you can activate turbo when in muggle mode, so that’s a way to double check with a double click.
