From new user: solution to send PMs?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for taking me in on this site! I joined because I just got my first nice flashlight, and I was eager to PM a member here with a question about it, but now find that as a new user I can’t. Does anyone know if there’s someone I can appeal to for early PM permission? I’m on a somewhat tight timeline for a project so if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

You could probably make a post and ask your question generally. See if you can tag the specific person, like this: @lettherebe

As for a workaround for DMs, I’m not sure how any of those restrictions work. I’ll tag our faithful admin to look, though: @sb56637
