FS mt-g2 mag SOLD

This is one I just finished over break. I think it is one of my favorite builds to date…

It is using this driver ( ld4b-24a-17mm-buck-driver-3v16v-p-817.html ) to give 3 modes with a high of 2.4 amps which should give above 1500 lumens (I don’t have a way to verify lumen numbers, just going by the data)

I am using nimh AA batteries, but it can run off any batteries as long as they are within the voltage of the driver (about 8-16 volts).

The battery carrier is a modified 3xAA holder, and the tubes were custom made from soda bottle plastic (I should do an instructional of this).

Batteries are not included

I’ll include the aluminum spacer so you can use 8 x AA instead of 9 x AA. After all, who sells 9 packs of batteries?

The reflector is a modified one of these, http://www.ledil.com/node/2/p/11410 which produces a beautiful beam. It’s not really a thrower but it is very useful and can still light things up in the distance. It is a similar beam to my zebralight sc52, just with a lot more light and a perfect mt-g2 tint.

This is the zebralight sc52 on turbo

This is the mag mt-g2 on high (it appears much brighter in reality but this gives you an idea of beam pattern and tint)

Price is $-85- SOLD

Nice build. And yes, you should totally do the soda sleeve build tutorial. GLWS.

I’ll take it

Yes, tutorial please.

And just out of curiosity, why would you put a yellow wrap on an eneloop battery?

+1 on the tubes. Nice clean build.

I’m glad this light popped up, I had a modded 3D that was lost when I rolled my vehicle multiple times last week and was hoping to find something like this.

The write-up on the tubes will have to wait a while, my break is coming to an end and I don’t have any soda bottles… :frowning:

I’ll do a full build post on the next one a put together.
