I’m looking to buy a locking blade fully serrated stainless knife. I see fasttek has the NAVY K-633S. Is this a decent knife or is there a better bang for the buck? Thanks, ![]()
There is not too much full serrated folders from budget marks. Navy have some full serrated, navy for i was reading is worst than enlan, ganzo, sanrenmu etc but still can be a decent knife. I like more the k631s in fasttech than the k633s model.
At the moment I have the K633 and K631 - not serrated.
You will find some more information in this thread:

Now a friend want the K631 serrated (he will told me tomorrow if he wants the half or full serrated). I like The K631 more as the K633, beacsue the handle is thicker and I could handle this bette as the slim K633. If you will wait 3-4 weeks (this is the normal shipping time for me within the German custsom service (they need often 10 days) I could post my impression.
What is your budget? I think you could pick up a second-hand Spyderco serrated with H1 steel.
Thanks for the replies , my budget is around the price of the navy. I’m in no hurry so I will wait to hear what you (Buwuve) think and shop around in the mean time.
Now I have a little half serrated Byrd 8cr mov 13 Robin that’d ok but a little too small, but it’s held together well so far.
I like these, offer both a plain edge and a fully serrated

Ganzo 706-2

FastTech sell the Ganzo 706-2 as well. ![]()
I know what you mean!
I’m not a great fan of serrated knives but the Veff serrations look like they would work.
The Ganzo serrations on the 706-2 work very well and I’ve just recently bought a Spyderco Clipitool with one plain blade and one with a Spyderedge,

at $48 inc. P&P an expensive way to find out if you like the serrated Spyderedge. It works but I still prefer a sharp but “toothy” plain edge. The Clipitool is a slipjoint so at least I can EDC it.
This, you’re better off stretching your budget a bit, but to each their own.
The ganzo looks like there’s not much metal on the blade around the pivot area, maybe a week spot? What’s with that big hook on the spyderco blade, does that have a purpose or suppose to look cool? The ganzo worth a try, I just need a rope cutter . Thanks again
The shape of the Spyderco’s blade it meant to engage the material that you’re cutting and “pull” it into the cut.
The Ganzo G706-2 Cuts 550 paracord without snagging or fraying the ends but the blade is only 52mm/2” long, the serrations are a good shape for rope but the length of the blade will limit tghe size of rope that you can cut. You would have to be doing something silly to break the blade on the Ganzo.
Spyderco’s Tenacious comes in a fully serrated model at a not bad price.
There’s also the Spyderco Salt models with H1 steel that resists corrosion.
I’m not recommending The Knife Centre, it’s just what came up in the search.
Byrd Cara Cara Rescue or Meadowlark Hawkbill are also some options.
Byrd knives are budget Spyderco.
I used knife center for the same reasons as 8steve88
I have this tenacious and it's a good quality "budget" knife, if $35 is considered budget for you.
I think you folks are right , I’ll be saving up for a higher quality knife. The spyderco salt looks perfect
Watch eBay, I picked up a Matriarch 2 (wave) recently for $65 shipped.

I have a Tenacious awesome knife but prefer plain blades, serrated are tedious to sharpen, as said before just sharpen the edge a little toothy, IE don’t go further than 200grit
Somebody have the navy k631s serrated? How is it about the cutting power vs the plain edge k631?
+1 Spyderco is probably the best value full serrated you can get, or maybe byrd.
This one looks nice if you don’t mind a blunt tip.
