Not an impressive mod here, but just an idea for those interested.
I picked up a small bottle of glow-in-the-dark fingernail polish on clearance from a local grocery store recently. It was left over from a Halloween makeup set and super cheap. (It also came with GITD lipstick, but I have no idea what to do with that) I figured it might be useful for rigging up some fishing lures as well as my flashlights. I like how it looks and it’s very functional in helping you find things in the dark. I’ve had good luck putting it on/in recessed areas of the items. That way it doesn’t alter how it feels in the hand and is shielded from getting worn off too quickly. Here it is on my Nitecore EA4W and Enlan EL-01B with the light on.

Since it is fingernail polish, it is going to dissolve away with nonpolar solvents. Also, it isn’t a super bond to the surface so it can be scratched and chipped off. So far, with a few coats it’s stayed on most of the things I’ve put it on ok, plus you can always put more on. I’m not sure if this is superior or inferior to other GITD paints, but for something like 0.50 USD I can’t complain.

@MrCG - I agree, it’s not the prettiest on the knife, bit rather functional. I guess functional i s what I’m after in most cases anyway. I did extra coats on every other groove just to see what happened. More glow but also more obvious that there’s stuff on the handle when in light.
@MRsDNF - Just tell yourself you’re not missing much… cough cough maybe cough but I cough like it lots cough cough…

You could try V10 GITD powder and epoxy in the knife slots. It aint 50 cents cheap though…
I have never seen a group of folks that could combine so many things with lights and knives as this crew!!!

BUT... now tell us the truth... you HAD TO try the lipstick!!! Come On!!! Fess up! It's ok, we'll only laugh for awhile!!! Did it show up in the mirror when you looked???

I’m all for cheap and effective things. I’ve also put a few coats on the inside of the bezel spikes on my SK68 clones. That works pretty well too.
@TexasLumens - HAHA! I haven’t tried it yet, I promise. Maybe I can get the wife to try it out sometime. I don’t really know what to use it for. I could smear it over a lens to double as a diffuser coating. Too bad I don’t have a light meter to test light transmission efficiency 
That’s about all I can think of… face painting maybe? car window decorating at the next wedding I go to? Thread lube? Someday I’ll get around to trying it for something…

I did the glow in the dark stuff on my knife too. It fell off sometime recently. Only did one cut out but didn’t do any more cause it wasn’t the “good” stuff
