Who here hasn't said at some point, "man, I sure with I had a tool for that!"
Ever wondered how you remove those pretty anodized SRK switch bezels without leaving a bunch of ugly scratches?
Heat the end of the glue stick, not enough that it goes all drippy, but just enough that it's soft and gooey. Stick it onto the switch, hold in place until it cools. Then unscrew the bezel.
As long as the switch is cold the glue won't stick all that well and will freeze before it can ooze down between the bezel & button, and it pops off cleanly after removal. It even holds its shape, so the 'tool' can be used to reassemble without having to re-melt the glue stick.
This works on most of them, but not all. For the ones that are well and truly stuck, paint the switch with carnuba wax, slather on some JB Weld, and add a piece of metal to use as a handle after it cures (sorta like a drill chuck key). After it's dried pull it off, clean away the wax, and then use the JB Wrench you just made.
