FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

Is the Nichia high cri? I also want a coupon code…

I just tried to order the Ti Nichia but the site would only let me order the XPL.
It did not say which tint. There seem to be XPLs with either two or three different tints.
If I can’t get the Nichia, I want the XPL with 5000K.
I also want the stonewashed Ti but the site would not confirm that either.

I found no coupons for the Ti versions, which are listed as $100.
Correction — the site says. “Get discount code: NDF.”
However, “NDF” did not work for me.

The sandblasted version is listed as preorder, with an estimated ship date of Aug. 20.

I see options on the Ti version now…

Maybe he’s still working on getting everything up?

Sandblasted Cu also available for preorder.

Sweet, I waited for it!
This is definitely a Carclo 10511, not an cheap imitation?

Ordered a purple, ditching my original.

Thats what the description shows but we’ve been surprised before.

Hoping for a code

is the sandblasted copper better than polished copper ?

Ok wait, what?

Why would they make a RAW ALUMINIUM light?

Clear anodizing is the cheapest anodizing that exists, and putting even an HA II coat would protect the light from scratches.

They made a RAW Aluminum light because some people have been begging for it.

Begging for it ay ,oh suits you sir.

Paul whitehouse & Harry Enfield.

Where did you get the switch from?

I’m still waiting on someone to make a deep pocket clip. :frowning:

Just got my SST20 FW3a in the mail and its by far the nicest flashlight I have ever owned. Took apart the head to get to the leds to clean the domes off a bit. Out of curiosity, I put the flashlight on turbo while I had the optic off and observed what appeared to be some smoke coming out. Anybody have any clue what this smoking was caused by? I didn’t think the flashlight could get hot enough to melt solder so I’m not sure where its coming from. Perhaps some leftover flux?

Do I have anything to worry about?

I’m saying nothing :zipper_mouth_face:

@ GroovyBro

DO NOT DO THAT!!

Always have the optic installed & the bezel tight before running the light at a highet level or Turbo. If you do not you may well fry things. The MCPCB must be tight against the shelt to transfer heat. With the optic out & bezel off it is loose.

Ask Nev about this phenomenon….

I WON’T :zipper_mouth_face:

You might have missed something on the dome or the mcpcb was burning up extra flux with bad thermal connection to body
