Price tracker should not track the price with a coupon. A coupon is a thing that may or may not be. Pricearchive tracks the price of an item and does it perfectly. If you have a coupon, this does not mean that someone else has it either. Coupons is not the thing that should be reflected on the chart.
I suppose youâre not familiar with the various coupon discounts on Aliexpress. Store coupons and instant discounts are quite common and abundant on Aliexpress. Thatâs a kind of marketing - promoting method / trick on Ali especially at the stores selling Ganzo - FB products. You can find the coupons anytime right next to the product youâre looking at. The coupons are there for everyone, theyâre not âsecretâ or âexclusiveâ. The base price doesnât change but they provide $1 - $4 store coupons for everyone. Thatâs why Price tracker is absolete and useless in this case.
For example the Ganzo FH21 can be bought for $25 with the $4 off store coupon at the moment and Price tracker doesnât have the slightest idea about that:
I can still see plenty of knives on GB, they might be filtering your location (?).
Have a look at this store on Aliexpress. They have shipping method to Italy by PostNL.
I ordered over 100 goods on Aliexpress. I am well versed in price trackers and coupons. Look, you offer a price tracker to track the price, not only the base price but also the price with coupons. This price depends on the amount of goods you want to buy. How price trackers can find out how many goods you want to buy and for what amount? What should the price chart look like then? And why you think that price trackers are absolete and useless in this case? They track the base price. And they do it completely free for you. If you didnât see the base price, you would be very risky. Today the price is $ 29, tomorrow it may be 58. And your coupons will not help you in this situation. How can you say that they are useless? If you received a coupon, excellent, happy for you. But for different customers these coupons may be different.
For me price archive is obsolete and useless because thereâs a new trend among sellers that they donât change (lower) the price of the products, they give you coupons instead. I donât know how to put this in words otherwise so I stop trying.
Itâs not a trend at all. Aliexpress sells millions of goods every day. How many of them have you learned to say that? I just checked about 80 knives and only two of them have a fixed base price. Please stop fooling and justify your conclusions about obsolescence and uselessness and not just draw these conclusions without reasoning and answers to specific questions.
For some goods I see different coupons, in particular
âUS $3.00 New User Couponâ,
âUS $8.00 off per US $150.00â,
âUS $1.00 off on US $16.00â for the $15.2 item,
âUS $3.00 Orders over US $4.00 Dec 1, 12:00 AM PT - Jan 1, 12:00 AM PTâ
âUS $3.00 Orders over US $30.00 Expires Dec 22, 04:35 AM PTâ,
âUS $5.00 Orders over US $56.00 Expires Dec 27, 04:35 AM PTâ and dozens, if not hundreds of others.
Moreover, such coupons for different countries may differ or be absent altogether. What will the chart look like if all these cases are shown on it?
Here are some examples of different situations when the graphs provide very useful information. Look at them.
At what price would you prefer to buy, $21 or $60? Without this price chart, you would not understand at what price it is better to buy and how much you risk overpaying. https://www.pricearchive.org/aliexpress.com/item/32955903398
or (If the item has been sold for more than a year, I would like to know what prices were during the last sale. By the way, Pricearchive is the only price tracker for Aliexpress where you can find data for 2017 and 2018. I would also like to add that the number of points on the price chart is very important. Other price trackers have a lot of gaps between the points. Their price charts are meaningless.) https://www.pricearchive.org/aliexpress.com/item/32863128099
Millions of people use Camel3x, Keepa for Amazon, Pricearchive for Aliexpress and other price trackers for other stores. Maybe you just donât understand that cases may be different, why price trackers are needed and how to use them? Please with reasoning and answers to my cases.
Youâre absolutely right I canât disagree with you anymore. All of your examples (childrenâs shoes, straw hat, smartphones) are spot on especially in a knife topic specializing in Ganzo products.
Good luck for using price archive!
Have you gotten any recent Ganzo knives with carbon fiber scales?
I have just one â the Ganzo 709, which seems to be discontinued. On the 709, itâs a pretty good carbon fiber appearance & texture (bought mine 6 years ago), but after taking apart the knife to lubricate, the back side was laminated black⊠so canât tell if itâs authentic or a very convincing imitation. I know sometimes these cheaper knife brands will change materials, so Iâm curious if theyâre still producing decent carbon fiber style scales. I saw a topic on the Ganzo G739 and G741 with CF scales and the video linked has the OP disassembling the knives to verify carbon fiber (pattern goes all the way through). Also Ganzo mgmt confirmed it. I do wonder if this applies to all of their knives, or just a few.
^ Yeah, it seems that in some cases Ganzo provided CF all the way through, and in other cases layered it over G-10. I took another look at my G709 up close with a bright light⊠and it seems to be genuine. Six years of ownership and no separation or degradation.
Btw, do you have the G706 or G708? The âRing-Oâ style? I bought the G709 because it looked so strange and yet serviceable. It works OK and blade locks into place well, but action is very stiff. I lubricated it and that didnât really help much. Itâs the inherent design. So I keep it as a drawer knife to rely upon when I donât have another knife handy.
Are these all your arguments? Are you seriously? Why are you trolling? If I showed you charts for knives only, what would you say then? Would you say that other goods have everything as you said?
You talked about the price tracker in general, and not just about knives. I showed you that you are wrong and explained why. Canât you accept that you were wrong? It is not that difficult. Sometimes I am also wrong. But in this case, I know what Iâm talking about and explained everything to you with examples.
About knives, I told you that I checked about 80 knives and didnât see that they have a constant base price. If you want to see their price charts, open and see for yourself Ganzo knives
Knife sellers are no different from sellers of phones, boots or hats. For knives, you can also see how the price changes, what is the base price chart, how much the seller raises the price, is the discount real or not today, how much did the knife cost during the sale last year, during which sale it is better to buy - 11.11 or black friday and so on.
If you werenât trolling and talking seriously, we could continue the conversation. But you are not doing very well.
Actually, what I think might be more profitable is to understand when are the best times to get the highest discount on Chinese knives, like Ganzo & Sanrenmu brands, irrespective of coupon campaigns. I found it helpful to change the chart scale to â1 year,â and âall.â From there you can visually see the price changes more obviously. Some of the longer stretches of lower prices are outside the US winter holiday time.
I postulate that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale period isnât so fantastic. Itâs carefully marketed such to make it look like itâs the best time of year for deals, capitalizing on the emotional impulses of buyers. Yes, there will be a few exceptions here and there, for discounts steeper than other times. But it seems majority of items arenât discounted any more than during other sale campaigns around the year.
