I couldn’t see it mentioned, does this light have low voltage warning or protection?

The D80 is a single cell light. If you add an extension and put 2 cells in, you will, upon clicking the switch, have no light. The driver will fry under the 8.4V supply.

Lights that are made to utilize 2 cells for a 3v emitter have a toroid and are bucking current down to the emitter’s needs, as well as limiting current to the mcu to prevent frying the mcu or using different components completely.

Since Convoy is not related to Lucky Sun, I would be very surprised if the parts from one fit the other. Stranger things have happened though. But to my recollection, the Lucky Sun D80 has an integral shelf, no pill, so good luck with that.

Edit: Almost forgot… the L4 has a side switch so you’d also need a compatible driver.

The "placeholder" listing: http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_139172.html has pics that don't match the latest samples received. The tailcap changes with the thumb cutouts aren't shown. Hopefully GB can get those pics updated? It's a nice feature improvement and should be mentioned, along with that it can tailstand in the specs.

I like the highlighted note under the LED's "All of them are available now!!" . Can't have too many choices of lamp beads .

Almost 3 weeks since the last update - sounds like it's getting real close. Looks like no more samples, so I think the only thing we could be waiting on is a production roll-out. Hoping at least .

Karen has advised us that the D80-SE is estimated to be available November 15th—20th. Yes, we are pushing them to expedite

Good news is that ALL tints will be available at the same time (not slowly rolled out one tint at a time).
