[GB ended,discussion only] CRI > 80+ NICHIA 2000K-6500K [E21A/219B/219C/319A/144A/757GT-F1(Optisolis)]

I didn’t even think about that. So far I have only viewed them on my phone where I took them, I may look on my desktop later and they look terrible. Feel free to re-adjust to match all of your tint shots if you’d like.

Digital pictures (so far) can only be used for comparison between various tints produced from the same camera, post processing, and monitor set. As long as we know the comparison boundaries, there should be no problem. It’s impossible for now, to get a standardized display for all the devices in the world.

@Jensen: I couldn’t do it, the JPEG contains less information for me to edit it. But it’s OK, I got the idea. Thanks for posting.

No worries, I’ll work on making them better in the future.

I’m working now on building a bunch of P60 drop-ins with each different emitter I have and a standard driver of a 5x7135 QLITE so I can make quick direct comparisons. Might even build a rig to power a bunch of them at once.

We’re doing the same thing then. I ordered a bunch of Armytek Prime (regular) for my architect friends. After some thoughts and practical decisions, I decided to make 3 flashlights to each of them. Prime regular (XPL) is more than enough for their uses. Most of the time they just need to show the customers which CCT they want in the buildings using ceiling bounce method.

3000K - 5000K are the most demanded CCT in this field. So a set of 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K should cover all the available popular CCTs. By mixing the 3 sets they can get: 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 4500K, and 5000K. But there’s a problem using Nichias, especially those with R9050 and above. Within the same CCT, the tints are always reddish especially below 5000K. The only cure to this is to “downgrade” the LEDs to 319A R8000 to make them represent closer to what available in the market.

Have we right to hope for any nasty, overly rosey, nearly useless sm45x0e/f……Deviants ?

Hi Tjohn,

No 219C R9050 available for 4500K. Only up to R8000

Clemence has another appreciative customer.

The “Hardest Sell” for Nichia would include my wife, who likes the greenish-yellowish HiCri CREEpy 3k. XPL-HI in her red S-1 best of our EDC lights, partly because I still need to reflow sm273 and sm303 Nichias soon after arriving back in Florida.
She formerly found the best LED temp/tint for her nail care was from an above the Ansi BBL Nichia 219c sm40x 9050 in an Eagtac.
With an acceptable hat brim clip now on her PT16, she has a floody HiCri sm403 triple most people would be thrilled to work with, 79 grams total with clip and Aspire 18350.

Clemence,
Thanks again for inventing your unique and relevant identity, treating us as your friends instead of just customers, and above all, putting up with the Clown Circus of Bureaucracy determined to sidetrack the emitters.

I’m flattered. This really made my day (night). Thank you Sir

Im loving my Clemence LEDs! (thanks to LightRider for the LED swaps)
Im experimenting with Lee filters, the Maratac on the left is in my pocket daily:

here is the sm305 (in the middle in the above pic) under UV. The light is not on, just excited to see my UV.

UPDATE 171015, 13:38 GMT +8:

Hi guys, I messed up with the shipping cost for some areas such as USA, Canada, Germany, etc…
I tried to add Express International shipping option due to problem experienced by Gunga in Canada Post Office. But…. I forgot to include the usual USD 5 Economy Shipping option back in place. It’s fixed now.
So, anyone who couldn’t opt for economy shipping can try again. I’ve sent messages to those already placed the order within the last two days just in case you guys want to opt down for lower shipping cost.

Note:

- The Economy International shipping has been very reliable especially to US and Europe. But the tracking number isn’t the best. In most cases you can only get “rough” delayed update status. Usually the update goes like this: Bali - Jakarta - (Transit country) - (Destination country) - (delivered/received/returned by the buyer)

  • The Express International shipping has a much better updater and almost twice as fast delivery time.

The only shipment problems so far are:

- Macedonia: 33 days delivery time

- Canada (Gunga): He didn’t get the packet for 2 months. Later found the packet misplaced in the Canada Post office. He hasn’t give me further confirmation about this.

  • Russia: most deliveries arrived close or more than 30 days. I checked and usually the packets were spent rather long days in Russian custom.

If you really want to get detailed status of your stuff, even using the cheaper Economy International shipping, you can try to send email to: sunsetroadpostoffice@yahoo.com
Expect UP to 5 days delay though.

UPDATE 171024, 06:15 GMT +8:

Hi friends, I’ll be out of town from 171028 - 171102. Any orders placed during the time will be processed in 171103. Thank you.

Her is her new Nichia enriched PT16 nail care cap-brim light with a Nitecore MH10 clip.

Nail care?? Oh wow, hahaha. Such a lucky wife.

I still haven’t received my LEDS but my post office said they were in customs 2-3 weeks ago. I usually do ok (3-4 Weeks) but am unlucky now (3-4 months).

Any interest for this 219C R9050?

- Clemence

…hmmmm !
a 5700K. 219C 9050 more centered on the ANSI BBL than commonly available anywhere,
how much time are we allowed in order to think about it ?

No rush, I was just asking. I don’t know if I would place the order this year or later in January. Still waiting for a friend to join in, if he/she doesn’t make it this year then I’ll wait until January.
By the way, any request for 219B sw45k 9080?

- Clemence

I like those! so yes I would order a couple

Hmm, I got a bunch of 4000Ks, so 4500K sounds nice. I’d definitely be tempted, just for completeness.

The 4500K R9080 Nichia 219B is regarded by many as the ‘best’ high CRI led in the universe so I would expect some interest still.
