Gearbest.com deny me the option to buy GBGB: BLF-348 - Classy and Small 1xAAA Stainless Steel light

I have been on the list for this GB for a long time now. I have even got some regulars 348 to test them out.
When the code got out to the members on the list, I ordered my share. But Gearbest.com is denying me to buy them. Twice they have refunded my money and canceled my orders.

So I can’t be a part of the Group Buy.

The reason is that lots of packages ordered from GB without tracking (several there GB has removed the tracking) have never got to me. So I have asked for refunds. I have not opened any Paypal claims ever.

I want to be part of this GB, I want my lights. Who can help me?
And I see there will be a problem with the BLF D80 GB also, they are using Gearbest also… so Gearbest is blocking me to get the lights I sign up for.
Is this something BLF will just accept?

You have not opened any paypal claims against gearbest?

On how many orders did they fail to provide tracking which you paid for? How many total orders (and items) never arrived? And how many of those should have had tracking but didn’t?

As I told in the post, I have never had any paypal claims with them. Just normal refund via ticket.
Of over 100 packages ordered from them since July, around 10 never got here. At least three had a value of over 40 dollars, so they should have tracking. I also used tracking on one package below 40, but it never got tracking.
So because of this they have told me that I have to use DHL/EMS/UPS etc when I order, but then the price will be way too high, so they are cutting me off.

Thats OK, I will not order anymore from them, except the Group Buys I’m in. I have been on the lists for the two GB for months now, so it’s not fair that I’m not allowed to buy them. Why is my money not good enough?

Here goes the heart of your complaint: It is well a known fact here about the many problems you have had with GB about your shipping complaints, etc. Perhaps after all those experiences, GB has decided to only accept orders from you provided you use the more reliable couriers like DHL/EMS/UPS as you mentioned, thereby putting both of you in a far more secure situation than having it shipped by the famous “Chinese shipping lottery”. But as you said, the shipping cost of those three couriers will be too high, then it’s your call now.

Edit: Btw, personally this concern of yours can easily be discussed and a win-win solution be made by just sending CSgearbest a pm, addressed to Karen.

“”At least three had a value of over 40 dollars, so they should have tracking.“”

I don’t think tracking is a free service for all orders over $40—you still must
select and pay for that option……

AFAIK, GB has a policy of automatic free tracking for orders over $40.

Any order with tracking that never arrived?

No. All packages with tracking has gotten here (or still waiting for some few I ordered before I went on vacation for a month.
So of course when I ordered this GB lights, I used/paid for tracking.

Most of the time if an untracked package is lost, is not the sellers fault… However they should cover the price of the lost items and they always end up losing money.

The fact that there is a free shipping option doesn’t mean it is reliable, people looking to save every single penny have just forced the Chinese stores to offer the free shipping option with all items which IMO shouldn’t apply for orders unders $50, and of course because it is free they will use the cheapest, slowest and most unreliable shipping method available. You can’t really blame them…

I always pay for tracking no matter how cheap is the item I’m ordering, but usually my orders is at least $30. Not a single lost package after 2 years and 30+ orders from gearbest.

Try open new account. Order with track, ever.

Surprise surprise. What were you expecting really? They blacklist you in no time because of Paypal disputes.

I would second what g_sintornillos said, except that they will find it out and probably block you if you use the same Paypal address and shipping address and name.
It will help if theres someone you trust, that lives close enough on whos name you can order or family member?

If you do some searching you’ll find that most (all?) online businesses have a limit on CS/refunds/etc. If you surpass said limit you’re essentially banned. Even Amazon, with their immense size and one of the best CS departments, has this limit.

You hit Gearworst’s limit. Move on, buy from a better company, avoid Gearworst GB and hope that people wise up and stop using them for group buys.

True for individuals (because with so many losses, one might assume a thief in the neighborhood watching their mailbox, or a corrupt mail carrier somewhere in the chain)

Also true for entire nations — most online businesses identify countries to which they won’t ship anything for anyone.

Oddly, I have had no problems with GB but my lights don’t show up in my ‘my orders’ window. Anyone else experiencing that? Paypal has the payment on file.

It’s very interesting to read myhken’s problem which are not his making, yet in a way he’s being blamed. Whatever happened to the creed that the customers are always right?

The customer is always right…

… But the purpose of business is to turn a profit.

Businesses have to draw the line somewhere.

I recently had two claim tickets ruled in my favor by Gearbest. I guess that puts me in a short leash as far continuing to be their customer. If it happens that another dispute causes them to terminate our relationship, then so be it.

I recognise the fact that I am blameless isn’t the issue, it’s just a corporate policy to minimize their losses.

I see that sometimes (three, scattered among many others before and after each).

Their Support can’t figure it out (well, they just ask me to recheck the page each time I ask)

I suspect the problem is because the email address I use to log in to their site does not match the email on my PayPal account.

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, they credit the purchase to an account with my PayPal email address rather than to an account with my actual login email address.
(Only pattern — each time it has been on deep discount special sale items)

I’ve seen this before as a bug —- two possible sources that can fill a needed field, and it’s happenstance which one gets retrieved first.

Customer is always right (yeah right!)….provided they don’t become a liability. At a point when he becomes a loss issue, repeatedly, it’s better to cut him loose.
Examples are with us everyday…couple of accidents and your insurance rates double, or may even be cancelled. Too many tickets, even without accidents, rates go up too, liable losses factored in.
I think to be fair, if a retailer can prove the item has been shipped to the indicated address, correctly as advertised and free of defects, his responsibility ends there. Shipping mishaps and in-transit damages, custom delays, regional postal inadequacies cannot be attributed to the seller. That’s why there are needs for insurances.
As to PayPal, you can always have multiple accounts, using different emails, home, office, family members addresses, covered by different bank accounts / credit cards to each account.
And if you ever file a dispute, don’t ever allude to theft, then it’s no longer a simple claim, it’s a criminal issue, and they have very rigid protocols for handling such disputes.
Other than a few unique-to-seller items, one can always buy from a different souce (until that one get sour too). I have seen many rise and decline of online sellers, this one isn’t any different.
You may save a bit here, until you get burnt, then the aggravation and frustration always surpass the small discount you realized.
Read about our experiences. Buyers beware.

I only have a problem with the fact that he is ordering this with a code, from a group buy. What is the point of denying something that has been going on from before or around when his other problems started. None of the shipping issues are his problem, he did nothing to not get the lights. If GB can deny the shipping issues are theirs, then why deny him?

I think GB issues defy the statistics of chance… they should have adapted their shipping methods when they had problems, not blame customers and deny group buys that are almost three months old ( A fast group buy, by the way, not a complaint).

I understand the frustration here, but just ordering something that has been reserved for a while should be done. GearBest has a customer rep on BLF, they can comb the lists for these group buys and inform the group buy organizer that some members may be black listed, otherwise, let them order with the code…
