The answer I received a few minutes ago from Nitecore wasn't enlightening (odd for a flashlight manufacturer :P ), so I had to ask again.

They did the same thing to me too, although my Nichia-one worked… Their own labelling was incorrect, hence the wrong model…
After e-mailing back and forth, I finally received satisfactory compensation and kept the wrong model…

No one ever reported fake batteries from GB. Even early 30Q-s which have dirty wrap was genuine. I grabbed 4 of them for less then 10$!
