That’s basically what my tracking number is at right now. It’s very frustrating to pay for extra shipping with faster delivery only to have it take so long that you might as well have gone with the standard free shipping. It kind of makes you think the vendor is just laughing at you as they pocket the “shipping upgrade” fee.
After reading many negative reviews about GearBest……I still went ahead and placed an order, just because I think first hand experience is also valuable and one should give them a chance(unless it’s an obvious scam).
Well, I am sorry to say that GB is the saddest operation in existence and I am astonished they still exist with such a bad customer service.
The shipping is absolutely crap. I have ordered A LOT of items from China from various shops, but mostly from Al…xpress.
I do NOT expect any order to arrive next day like when I order from a shop in the Netherlands, nor do I expect it to arrive in 3 days when I order from a shop in Germany.
However, GB is just the worst in the business, shipping an order out more then two weeks after placing the order?? And if that’s not enough, the “your order has been shipped” message don’t mean sh*t either, because it takes another 8 days before it has left the outbound customs in China. That is not normal, not even in China. Whenever I order from Axpress, it takes on average 3 days for the order to be shipped and another 2 days to leave the country. All of my Axpress orders have arrive between 11 and 15 days, with only ONE exception of 17 days.
Also, the “pay extra for a tracking number” message during the checkout should have ringed some bells. Now that is a pure scam. They are just collecting FREE money, because now I know from other friends also that it does not make ANY difference if you pay that or not, because your order still arrives very late……or not at all. This is really utterly despicable business practice from GB. But I know as I am writing this, they are just laughing their asses off. If they even cared a bit then they would have solved this shipping and “tracking number money scam” by now………but they don’t. This was my first and last order with them…….and not even received anything yet.
First order from GearBest has me a bit worried. The tracking provided by them says

but the info hasn’t updated since Dec. 15th and on Jan. 1st the info on DHL was replaced by a message stating
“No Results
We wish to inform you that a number of packages may experience delayed or missing tracking information. Continue to check this tracking page for the latest update. Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The info provided by DHL showed the package departing a city in Japan headed for a US ecommerce distribution center with same date and time above before the info disappeared.
edit: 22 days since the last tracking info update and 5 days since tracking info was replaced by the message quoted above.
I was asked for payment verification when I ordered a flashlight shipped to Australia (for modding). I didn’t provide any additional information because I had previously placed and received 6 orders shipped to Hawaii. The order was never received and I was refunded through PayPal (ordered the light from Kaidomain and it was received in Oz). I have since placed 7 orders with GB (lights, batteries, knives) and 4 have been received [with 3 still enroute]. I have never paid extra for shipping and I like GearBest’s prices. I’m a satisfied customer, so far. For the record, I have never received any promotional bonus or extras from GB (Kaidomain sent a keychain minilight with each order I’ve placed and batteries came in free 2-pack holders - I likey).
Strange thing happened, yesterday at about 11PM I ordered two LiitoKala chargers and today at about 10AM I received shipping confirmation with picture of my envelope on a weight scale, nice
I have not seen an update on my 6 batteries since end of December gearbest closed my first ticket saying wait longer. I sent a new ticket and since I didn’t pay insurance they are asking me to pay half the price I already paid.
At this rate I just want my money back. Even in store credit would be fine.

If that’s the case, I know not to bother returning to EB and GB, no matter how good the price is, or how exclusive the product is.
I would have to re read this whole thread, I believe it is in here. Some one was told that they would need to use the expensive shipping method from now on. I think it was dhl method. They were not allowed to use the slow boat from China/ no tracking free method.

But for the second time they sent me the options for half the price. $15.22 cents does not buy 6 18650 batteries. Either I am in the hole for over $15 or I pay an EXTRA $15 for goods that have been payed for.
Would anyone else here accept half Credit for lost in shipping order? Am I being unreasonable here?
