Going for 1800K in a winter wonderland!

This is my first light in 1800K, a modded Mateminco FT02. It is such an amazing light in snow and ice especially. No self-blinding effects, good contrast and penetration but sacrificing a lot of output and raw power. Compared with warm white (3000K) and a normal cold white light source:

Warm snow…:face_vomiting:

Absolutely. Warm colors are awesome at night when not polluted by street lights and the like. And you adapt so that warm looks perfectly natural after a while.

If this is the color your body produces drink more water or consult a doctor

Working with colour management for many years I would say that there is something wrong with colour calibration

for me it is Not Realistic.. snow is just NOT THAT COLOR!

but we can agree to disagree, and I appreciate your pics and video

fwiw, there is a poll here that shows the 1800K fan club is a Vocal Minority

Yeah, we got fog today:

I prefer warmer lights too but I think white lights are more suited for winter. :man_shrugging:

Your picture shows that the yellow light is far superior. Much better details and less useless light scatter. I am sure the LED is less efficient but the light seems more useful unless you want to do photo or video and avoid weird colors.

yeah it may be superior but I don’t like my snow pissy.
