New guy here. Is there a suggestion for a practical higher-capacity replacement battery for the Goal Zero Mini? The original version has a flip-open battery door for tool-free battery replacement.
Here is a word from the maker, “The 18650 battery Goal Zero used is a double polarity battery. Meaning it has positive & negative poles on both ends of the battery. This will mean it will only be compatible with goal zero products or product that function in this way. The traditional 18650 batteries have a positive pole one end and a negative pole the other. Product that function in this fashion will not be compatible with the Goal Zero 18650 battery cell.”
I like this lantern because (1) it has a simple twist on/off/dimmer knob and (2) because it can light only one half as desired.
