Greetings from Lumintop – Excited to Join the BLF Community!

I like this reply. It’s exactly what happened, I even remember a thread asking if Lumintop weren’t trading anymore due to the almost empty catalogue and Tool clones scattered across AliExpress.

Hi,

We hear you, and we appreciate the honest feedback.

Regarding the Turbo runtime: the 42-second spec in the manual is based on Fan Mode ON, where the built-in fan actively cools the flashlight. In Fan Mode OFF (no active cooling), Turbo steps down significantly faster due to heat buildup — which explains the 24 seconds you observed. This is actually covered in the manual footnote, but we acknowledge it could be communicated more clearly upfront.

The Mach 3.0 is designed around sustained 10,000LM performance with the fan running, rather than extended Turbo. We understand that may not suit every use case, and we appreciate you sharing that perspective.

Best regards,
Lumintop EU Team

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed report. After reviewing with our technical team, we can confirm this is not a hardware or software glitch — everything you experienced was caused by Fan Mode being accidentally switched off.

Here’s how it works: triple-clicking the switch toggles Fan Mode On or Off. The blue light on the switch is the Fan Mode indicator — blue light ON means Fan Mode is active, blue light OFF means Fan Mode is off.

When Fan Mode is OFF:

  • Maximum output is capped at 4,000LM (no active cooling to sustain higher output)
  • The fan will not activate even after the light cools down
  • The blue switch light goes dark

This explains all three things you noticed at once. It’s easy to accidentally trigger the 3-click toggle during use, especially when cycling through modes quickly on the trail.

The good news is your light is working perfectly. We’d recommend familiarizing yourself with the Fan Mode toggle so you can quickly identify and reverse it if it happens again.

24 seconds of turbotime was measured with the fan ON.

I really enjoy my FW series lights. It would be great if the factory would offer deep carry clips and no more proprietary firmware with non programmable drivers like what’s in the FW21 X9L. Anduril 2 going forward please!

3 Thanks

Hi,

We want to clarify this with the actual spec data:

Fan Mode ON: Turbo runs for 40 seconds before stepping down to 10,000LM, which then sustains for 2 hours 25 minutes.
Fan Mode OFF: Turbo runs for only 20 seconds before stepping down to 4,000LM.

The 24 seconds you measured matches Fan Mode OFF almost exactly — not Fan Mode ON. If Fan Mode had been ON when you tested, you would have seen closer to 40 seconds of Turbo and a step-down to 10,000LM, not 4,000LM.

Given that Fan Mode was previously confirmed to have been accidentally switched off during your trail experience, we’d respectfully suggest double-checking that Fan Mode is ON (triple-click the switch, blue light on the switch should be illuminated) before timing Turbo again. We’re confident the results will be different.

Lumintop EU Team

I quite often use Anduril’s tactical mode for light painting. Continuous for 1H, and strobe for 2H.

I have never known manufacturers specs to be 100% right and accurate. In Fact a lot of times they’re exaggerated both the output and the run times. That’s why we have people like 1Lumen to test the lights who have no reason to exaggerate the specs or the runtime.

The Fan is ON and I get 24 seconds of Turbo before it steps down.

Rather than attack your lights I’m going to give you examples of general industry stupidity. The battery makers will sell you a light that takes 3 cells. These same companies also sell chargers that will charge 2 or 4 batteries at a time. The 4 cell chargers will not fit into an outlet with a rain cover. The solution is to sell chargers that will charge 1 or 2 cells at a time. They should also sell lights that take 4 cells. I had such chargers in the past including one that fit in a USB port.

Do you guys plan on making a compact 21700 W3 that have higher output LED and LEP modules?

1 Thank

Appreciate the input — good point on charger form factors. We’ll keep this in mind for future product planning.

Thanks for asking! Can’t comment on specific model plans, but we do have new products in development using 21700 cells — can’t share details yet, but it’s something we’re actively working on.

Keep an eye on our site for upcoming releases: https://lumintop.eu/

Appreciate the feedback!

Since “EU” is in your name and address, did you plan to have an EU warehouse as well, or is this just some kind of misrepresentation? The website says you ship the products from China…

1 Thank

It would be nice if they had a US warehouse which they don’t cuz I’ve already asked them. Ace beam does. I had an issue with the light I sent it back to the warehouse in New Jersey and I got refunded.

What happens when a Lumintop light breaks ?whether it be United States or europe? They expect you to send it back to china? Not feasible. Already went through that with another light. Shipping to China costs more than the light was worth itself.

1 Thank

At the moment, Lumintop.eu orders are shipped directly from our manufacturing facility in China. The .eu store was created to better serve our European customers with local pricing, VAT handling and support, and we’re also evaluating an EU warehouse for the future.

We also ship to the US and many other countries.

Lumintop.eu is Lumintop’s official direct store. If you find a better price from an authorised seller, let us know—we’ll do our best to match it. BLF members are also welcome to contact us for exclusive discounts from time to time.

That’s a very fair concern, and we understand the inconvenience of international return shipping.

At the moment, Lumintop does not operate a US or EU-based service center. Most after-sales cases are handled through our service team in China.

In practice, for most issues, we first try to provide the most practical solution depending on the situation, which may include replacement parts, partial refund, or sending a replacement unit directly, so returning the product is not always necessary.

We are also exploring different ways to improve regional support over time, depending on what is feasible.

Thanks for sharing your experience — feedback like this is genuinely helpful for us.
