Hello BLF members!

I’m the official representative from Lumintop, and it’s a pleasure to officially join this legendary community of flashlight enthusiasts.

For many years, Lumintop has been dedicated to designing innovative flashlights for everyday users, outdoor adventurers, and enthusiasts around the world. From compact EDC lights and powerful LEP throwers to Andúril-powered enthusiast favorites, we’ve always valued the passion and expertise of the flashlight community.

We’re here not only to share new products, but also to listen, learn, and gather feedback from enthusiasts. Your ideas, suggestions, and constructive criticism help us build better lights and continue improving our products.

BLF has played an important role in the flashlight world for many years, and we’re grateful for the knowledge, creativity, and honest discussions that make this community so special.

Feel free to ask questions, share your experiences with Lumintop products, or simply talk flashlights with us. We look forward to participating in discussions and becoming an active member of the BLF community.

Lumintop! We miss you!

One request: If you want to be #1 in the flashlight space, take a lesson from Astrolux, Mateminco, Fireflies, Sofirn, and put regulated drivers in your flashlights. Also, bring back the FW series with new drivers. The Mach series really needs something other than a direct driver.

You can be great again, trust me, if you do that.

If only we had more mechanical tailcap clickie buttons.

My version 1 copper Tool AAA is a trusty and reliable little thing, such a nice snappy click each time, no accidental activations. It’s many years old and pretty much lives clipped in my wallet.

Always loved Lumintops, wish I’d bought a GT3 when I had the chance. But prices guys, prices. Lumintop are too expensive, I only bought the re-release FW3AA because it’s nostalgic. It’s a lovely AA light, but there’s a strong market out there for this battery size

Excited to Join the BLF Community!

That awkward moment when someone finally says “hello” a full decade after they arrive at the party.

Though to be fair, it does seem like Lumintop has been absent for a while.

I recall a time maybe 6 or 7 years ago when the majority of Lumintop’s product catalog was FW3A and other FW3A-derived items. It seemed like there was a new flavor every month, FW-something-or-another. And the hardware kept getting downgraded, sometimes in ways which had a big negative impact on the torch’s core functionality. So people’s initial excitement for the FW3A soon became disappointment and fatigue and distrust and apathy.

Then other companies stepped in to fill the gap, producing similar items but with higher quality and lower prices and better support and more engagement with the community. So people didn’t really talk about Lumintop much any more.

I think what people are probably wondering now is… What changed? What’s different now? What brings Lumintop back to BLF? What is Lumintop’s plan?

Hank and thr KR3 answered the call. I hope to get a tester of the KR3, and I suspect it will be light years ahead in terms of performance of the original FW3A.

Neal too has picked the FWAA and FW1A back up, but basically duplicated them with more modern LEDs. I was hoping Fireflies would be first to mKe a FW3A, but alas…

Got and love the GTmini and GTmicro. While the 'mini is very similar to my OG version of the P30 and other C8ish lights, the 'micro always sits on my table here for quick blasts to see what’s making noise in the backyard, etc., with a nice compact light that’s not, well, big. Only the CatMini comes close, but I don’t recall it having a momentary-on mode like the 'micro (5click).

What I’d REALLY like to see is a refreshed model of the ED20-T. Not an unrecognisable redo, but just get rid of the worst features of the OG version for a “refresh”.

First, mode order should be LMH and not HML. The latter is what cheap lights use to “showcase” the brightest settings and then only throttling down once you’re already blinded by it.

Second, a nicer emitter that’s not the usual retina-scorching cold white. So many great emitters that are both bright and æsthetically pleasing in both color temp and tint. 4500K-5000K is great in a 519A and similar.

Last, ditch the retarded clip that leaves almost a third of the light sticking out, and can’t be removed without leaving a gap between body and tailcap.

Grip-rings can be slide-on if wanted, and a removable deep-carry clip would be infinitely better.

Nice-to-have would be a beefier 21700 version vs 18650, but I can deal with 18650s fine.

Onboard charging might be nice. I don’t really care, but lots of people would consider that a must-have.

Keep the switches and functions untouched, though!! Simple is better, especially for a “tactical” light. Other than HML as mentioned, the UI is perfect as-is.

Light levels are about perfect as-is. Low is perfect for close-in work and when you don’t need to light up a whole room. Medium is great for casual observing. And high is decently bright for the light of that era, so maybe “turboing” that would be great.

Me, I keep mine on low to activate with the on/off switch, and always have momentary-high from the mode switch. That covers at least 99% of how I use mine.

Aside from the Tiny Monstor series, which were huuuuge, there are so few true dual-tailswitch lights that are/were as compact as the ED20-T. That’s such a criminally overlooked form-factor and UI that’s incredibly useful.

Hey I got ur guys GT18 that light is awesome the floor seems like it’s from an unrealistic giant light.. Then I got the bike light which is warm with a wide angle beam and has the reflector that doesn’t blind ppl great holder on it too it pivots. Last I got the umm can’t think of the name right now takes 21700 cell offered in titanium uses the SBT90.2 and I love the tail switch on it.. I have some videos I’ve been meaning to post on YouTube would you guys wanna check them out?

Can’t believe I forgot about the BLF GT. It’s the only light where I use Anduril’s “tactical mode”. The light is too big to actually carry around for practical purposes, but it’s fun to show to people… and the instant blast of full power is perfect for that.

There’s a reason it’s officially unofficially called “Giggles”.

I will add for the Mach V3.0 a 24-second, not 42 seconds turbo is kind of weak. In addition after that 50,000 lumen step down the highest you can go from there is 10,000 lumens. It’s great to have 10,000 lumens for extended periods but what about 15 or 20,000 lumens?
The capacity for the 46950 is great. Wish my X75 would use that battery. Twice the capacity of the BP4 and actually a little smaller in width and length. Same capacity as a BP8 and much smaller.

We’re not here simply to post products. We’re here to listen, learn, and reconnect with enthusiasts. Discussions like these help us better understand what the community is looking for today, and we’ll make sure your suggestions are shared with our product team.

Acknowledging suggestions and issues is one thing, taking action and doing something about it is another.

I have to be honest ,most manufacturers make things sound good and like they really care. It’s all part of the customer service approach.
It really is rare for them to change the step down or the modes. They are just not going to do it. Actually it’s not a change, in regard to Turbo, the specs are 42 seconds for Turbo (Mach V3.0)and it’s actually just 24 seconds. and then after that steps down the next highest level is 10,000 lumens it’s basically a 10,000 Lumen light with a burst of turbo! The only good thing about the 10,000 lumens you can run it for a couple hours becsuse of the massive 46950 capacity.

I have a single cell 21700 light that can do 10,000 lumens for 3 minutes.

MACH V3.0

Input from Lumintop or anyone else who would know what this may be?? Obviously an electronic glitch.

I have had this light 3 weeks.

After turbo steps down it automatically goes to 10,000 lumens. There’s an OLED readout with this information, temperature Etc.
1.The other night after using Turbo it kept stepping down to 4000 lumens and continued to do that. I had no way to access 10,000 lumens whether it was using turbo and having it step down to 10,000 or turning the light off and back on and ramping up to 10,000 lumens

The fan automatically comes on at 10,000 lumens and turbo. When the light is cooled down to 43c the fan will go off. Then you can reactivate turbo. But this wasn’t happening , once I hit turbo back on after it was cooled the fan would not come on. I had to reprogram it by clicking it five times.
The switch was no longer illuminated during these issues.

When I got home took the batteries out, check the voltage and put them back in. It was back to normal. When I took it back on the trail again, it workef fine.

WHAT causes something like this? My guess is that whatever software or Hardware glitch it has, it will probably happen again.
