I took my X6 3C apart, switched the led to another XM-L2 3C, shorter and thicker led wires, wired the springs. Voila, 3,01A with fresh protected battery and no green in the middle of the spot. Most have been a faulty led. Very modder friendly light, easy to deal with.

By any chance did you measure the light output before and after the mod?

Battery direct from the charger 2,43A just before the mod, 3,01A after mod direct from the charger. The other one 4C 2,27A.

In case people are still waiting, I finally got an update on mine. Ordered Dec. 8th, finally passed through sort facility in China on Jan. 14th, the first update I received. That’s a long time, but probably means it is now on the way and may be here next week, or possibly the week after.

Paid December 8, processed through China sort facility January 14, 39 days to ship, now at 42 days, time to file disputes. We were unable to pay until they supposedly had the lights in stock, why take payments and ship 39 days later, doesn’t make sense.

Thanks for reminding me Southland, my set of lights also have yet to make an appearance, and Paypal window is about closed. Time to file.

So, I’ve noticed something that may or may not hold up to closer scrutiny…

Everyone who I’ve noticed complaining of long delivery times in the US seems to be on the eastern side of the US. Meanwhile, I’m on the west coast, and my lights lights showed up in a reasonable amount of time, both times I’ve ordered.

So, there are many possible explanations.

Confirmation bias on my part.
People get whinier the further east they live.
Cheap shipping to the east coast from China is just generally dramatically slower than to the west coast.
A specific shipment to eastern US addresses got hung up.

Either way, this flashlight and GB rocked. I would not, however, order from BG again if all things were equal. Their shipping time is abysmal, in a world of already bad. This is based on three separate orders.

Yep, every order I've had from them ended up in filing with PayPal..but they always came through up til now. I'm in Texas and seems to always be Very Very L A T E....deliveries.

Silly, isn’t it? They’ll come through again, almost definitely. The time frame is ridiculous though, and it definitely tries one’s patience. I’ll post when I get mine.

I have a question??? I bought 2 of these I assumed identical 1A lights. the tail-caps do not interchange. did anyone else try this?

My first wave NW and final wave CW both interchange just fine.
