Hello,

I have been talking to GearBest for a few days now. I wanted to (sort of), go back to the basics of what we are, which is "Budget lights", for all of to buy. One that could be modded, to make into a small powerhouse, or left stock and still have a fairly decent light. I talked to GearBest about a couple lights, but the Ultrafire F13, (Also known as many other names like SkyEye), came out as probably the best bang for the buck.

GearBest will offer these lights at $9.99 with Free Shipping, IF... we hit more than 50 pieces. I figured we would hit that easily. I know some members will want to buy more than one and that is OK. AND... there is no limit. We can buy 50 or 100 or more, all at the same price, with Free shipping.

GearBest has a link to the "SKYEYE" F13, but the Supplier is offering the Untrafire F13. Same light, but just named differently.

Here's what I think I know about the light:

It has an XM-L U2 (not XM-L2) cool white led in it, on a 20mm star.

It takes one 26650 or one 18650

It has a tail clicky switch.

It has 5 modes H/M/L/strobe/sos The modes cannot be changes by the mfg. It has next mode memory.

Glass lens and Aluminum reflector

On High, the light should put out 2.4 amps according to the Supplier.

I will ask for another photo of the driver and see if I can get one...

I think this can be a good mod light and a fair stock light. It has possibilities because of the good sized pill in it, (but from the photo here, the pill is now part of the head, not removable. If you look at other photos here in reviews), for modding with an XM-L2 on copper and a higher amp driver... OR, the stock driver could be modified and next mode memory "Should be" capable of being changed. I will have some information on that later on. Worst come to Worst, a Qlite would work good in it at about 4 amps with an XM-L2.

I will do some mod videos of the light, when I get one, just as I have with the other lights, for anyone interested.

In this thread, I need you to post how many you want. This it the INTEREST thread. If we can get 50+, we have a go. I will let this thread develop till we get over 50 and then I will set up an actual GB thread with all the information on how to go get the light at $9.99

I can’t stand Next Mode Memory. I am even fine with it starting on high with no memory. At this price I am sure we can easily hit 150 pieces or more. Manufacturer should be able to accommodate a driver change.

If it’s a descent enough host…I will mod it up with a 20mm sinkpad and depending on the size of the driver either throw a 8*7135 nanjg into it or an OSHPark FET driver

This F13 is clearly different than the one relic38 and garrybunk reviewed almost a year ago - their's had a std aluminum removable pill. Interesting to find out if the driver is 20mm or not (old one did). The anodizing on the pill top can be a PIA, if you believe the anodizing hurts the thermal transfer there.

I would like to know more details before, but for the price, I'll be good for qty 2 on these. Thanx O-L!! I like these form factor lights. I see relic38 turned it into an excellent performer.
