The K50 arrived! With trembling hands I tore off the outer box. Opened the Supbeam box and behold……a perfect K50. Haven’t tried the charger yet, but everything else looks OK. This has gotta be the first time for me that things have gone right when things go wrong. Thank O-L for this opportunity. I really appreciate your efforts and everything you do for the BLF. This forum wouldn’t be squat without you. And I sorry for those who got the mismatched lights. I will stand by you guys until the last issue has been resolved. Cheers, y’all

About the replacement tube… Are we supposed to email bella, pm bella, or let it ride in this thread (or some combination of the 3)? The other thread says to PM and post there, this thread says to post a pic here.

Contact bella and send the photo. I just wanted photos here for reference and so there would be some clear photos of how bad the crap really is.

They should send out replacements and I don’t believe they would be foolish enough to ask for us to ship the old ones back. Not unless they are paying the shipping.

After seeing mine, I’m sure glad I didn’t have to pay for one, no matter the cost. It’s just pathetic, for a higher priced light.

Figured I would post a full shot. The battery tube is the worst mismatched, but this shot also shows… several colors on the light. :_(

Here’s the misaligned emitter. Hard to believe such a small error creates such a poor beam profile.

For those whose K50s landed in LA on Friday, were entered into the USPS system on Saturday as having departed LA, then received your packages yesterday (Monday), did you receive any other updated tracking info such as "out for delivery", or did it just show up at your doorstep? Thanks all!

Sadly, mismatched too. Havent tested or really checked it out yet as I havent had time.

Photos might make it seem worse than it is. The control ring and head are pretty close, I certainly wouldnt be raising any issues if thats all that was off. The ring (ring 2) between tube and control ring (ring 1) is off noticeably, the tube is another colour too (shiny black), and the tail cap might match ring 2.

Head and control ring are the same (close enough at least)
Middle ring and tail cap same, but different to above
Tube is a 3rd colour

This really makes me acutely aware of how much a PITA it must be to mass produce anything in anodized aluminum.

Got mine today.

-Mismatched anodizing but I take no issue with it at all. It’s a difference of maybe 5%.
-The beam is soooooooooo thin which I don’t like but expected
-Strobe is not consistent. Flashes fast strobe for maybe 1 second and then does a slow double flash, then repeats. Anyone else? Maybe that’s just how they’ve designed their strobe.
-Would like to be able to eliminate air pocket in switch boot. Has maybe 3mm of play there.

Strobe is designed to be that way, it is operating properly.

There are some strobe experts around here. I have heard them talk about strobe being more disorienting if it varies in some particular fashion, but I don't know the details.

Aoeu, as for the air pocket, I unscrewed the railcar, took out the PCB, and put a little disk of hot melt glue between the click switch and the rubber boot. Works perfectly and no more air gap.

There’s a fly in my room right now flying in circles under my ceiling light. I shone the light on him and he started to fly like he was drunk. Flew further and further away from me and into the next room hahahahaha
