SC31Pro has been a popuplar model of sofirn. More and more people love it. And there are always some people like it to has tail switch.
Now with gchart's help, I made it possible. I hope you are interested in this group buy.
SC31T Pro is enabling SC31T with Anduril. Furhermore, gchart helped adding "strobes" and "7 clicks to change indicator" in Simple UI.
For most common users or muggles like me, there is no need to bother doing 10H to Advanced UI when "strobes" and "7 clicks to change indicator" are available in Simple UI.
Would you buy one for yourself or to give as a gift?
How about a group buy? Are you in? Reply please, I will add you into list.
[Update Aug 16th] UI image for muggle to understand more easily.
It’s not only for lockout, it’s also to switch it on and off. There is support for a mechanical switch in Anduril since the beginning (?), but it was never really used. I tried it once and it worked fine if you prefer a mechanical switch.
Very interested - this could be very useful for light painting photographers. There is a lack of single LED, 18650 tube lights with Anduril and tail switch. Would prefer a throwy or high output emitter though such as SST40, or SFT40.
I do not have a SC31T but my understanding is that the SC31T has both an electronic side switch and a mechanical "forward clicky" tail switch (which allows "momentary on") and I also assume that the SC31T does "not" have an inner tube, so when the tail switch is OFF, there is not any battery power supplied to the side switch or the MCU.
What advantage would a tail switch provide for an Anduril version of the SC31T without an inner tube or would an inner tube need to be added to the SC31T when it becomes the SC321T Pro?
Or Is there something different with the MCU or Anduril implementation so that it remembers the previous operating state while the light is OFF so that when the tail cap is half-pressed or fully-pressed it can return to that state or would it just operate like a typical Anduril light (SC31 Pro) that only has an electronic side switch, where Anduril resets to the OFF state when the tail cap is loosened and re-tightened (whether the light is ON or OFF)?
That is a good point. For strobes to be useful for light painting photographers they have to memorised, which Anduril does by 5 clicks (5C) to engage momentary. Thus if this light is using strobes in simple UI, it either needs 5C for momentary added to simple UI, or use the tail switch (if 2 switch config) to turn memorised strobes on/off with a single click.
