Nitecore seems to make really good holsters. I wish they would make one for the TM16/GT.
I have the Thrunite holster. The light fits, but not that well. Plus it doesn’t have the soft padding like Nitecore holsters do, and will eventually wear the paint off the sharper edges of the flashlight. I may try the camera lens bag.
No documentation on the parasitic drain for the TM16GT yet. I’m assuming that the drain would be similar to the TM16:
132µA according to this review.
And 131µA according to this review.
Note, the second review states:
There is parasitic drain. As with some other NITECORE 4x18650 lights, the drain is not the same for both pairs.
Drain for Pair A (closest to the switch) is 131µA. This drain would fully deplete the cells in 2.96 years.
Drain for Pair B is 70µA. This drain would fully deplete the cells in 5.54 years.
I’m not sure why the 2 pairs drain at different rates. However, if true, then one would need to pay closer attention to using unprotected cells in this flashlight to ensure that they remain reasonably well balanced.
Quick question - I can’t seem to get any of BGs tracking numbers to work. I’ve got an RX*DE number which I’m supposed to stick into https://www.deutschepost.de/sendung/simpleQuery.html?locale=en_GB, but it says it can’t find it. Admittedly this was one of the first times I ordered from BG so I’m not familiar with the procedure.
It takes at least a day after shipment (not after purchase) for the tracking website to begin logging any information.
And sometimes, I’ve received delivery of the shipment before the website shows any tracking information. :quest:
However, most of the time, some message appears after a couple of days and the information is updated fairly accurately as the package is processed at major transportation nodes. In particular, delivery seems to be reported minutes after the package is so delivered.
Thanks for the reply. You are spot on - I spoke to BG and they said the same. Sometimes there is quite a lag in between the physical shipping of the item and the tracking information appearing online.
I also got mine today, even if it’s snowing I can tell this really is a throw monster! The spill is very useful as well.
Mine had two of center LEDs, but nothing to worry about. If it bothers some, you’re looking at wrong end of the light
The lanyard was broken, but I never planned on using it anyway.
just got mine and looks just like yours only one led perfectly centered, waiting for dark to check out the beam. early report is that it is brighter than my x3vn which is supposed to be 3000 lumens but it has a yellow/greenish tint. the tm16gt has a nice cool white beam and does look quite a bit brighter on a wall shot.
Well I can say that my switch is very nice in its operation, I get a nice tactile feeling and a distinct
click action and sound. I like it very much. although my leds are not perfectly centered the beam is
very nice, throws very far and has some pretty good side spill as well. Overall for the price its an excellent
torch in my opinion and am eager to see what Vihn can do with it.
This will replace my x3vn for bedside duty in case I ever had to blind an intruder and investigating outside noises thru my bedside window, it appears quite a bit brighter than my x3vn which is supposed to be 3000 lumens .
I am using the Samsung 30q batteries and they work very well so far.
My compliments to the guys who do beamshots because this thing throws so far it is tough to get an accurate representation im guessing.
