Okay no matter what I try I have 2 beam shots that Dale emailed to me but none of my image hosting sites will upload them.
Give me about 30 minutes I am going to try to post straight from my Google account if that does not work I may need to email them to someone else and see if they can upload them.
Maybe you can post the beamshots on Youtube?

Yep, definitely prefer 70. Honestly, I was expecting a tighter brighter hotspot for the 35 compared to the 70.

Hard to tell from the pictures just how it will look at a greater distance but still good to see some shots.
The moment I get samples I will get some live shots in open areas and we can see how tight that gets...

I like that the hotspot of the XHP35 isn’t so focused. It still appears throw is quite impressive, but has enough spill to be usefull for things other than just spotting. And guessing runtime will be much better than XHP70. Just what I’m looking for.

Terry, does the plural mean they agreed to send you one of each for testing? I hope so. Not to steal your efforts but it would be great if Haikelite could provide initial distance shots for quick comparison between the two and possibly some of their older lights, i.e. MT07 and MT07S since they’re in similar size category.
I do know that Dale requested it but I have not been told so far if that was approved or not. I honestly hope they do approve it. There will be a ton of data separating these two.
And the fun part the side by side shots. I have several locations already in mind to be sure that I don ot run out of distance before the light does. One of the things I love about where I live is there are still plenty of places that you can get some very long distance beam shots.

His exact position I honest can't say lol. But they have a board like any company and make decisions based on everyone in agreement.
