Happy 10-year anniversary Convoy!

A few months ago while ordering from Simon’s aliexpress store, I noticed that the date shown for the store was quickly approaching it’s 10-year anniversary. I think Simon was around and selling lights before April 1st, 2013, but that was just a little before I started to get deeper into flashaholism.

Here we are, April 1st, 2023, and the Convoy store for 10 years has thousands and thousands of happy customers, managing to maintain a store feedback happy-rating that hovers between 98% and 99%, and now shows six hundred product listings that offer us great lights with great quality and value, plus so many options for emitters and drivers, as well as spare parts for repair or modding or new projects.

Simon, thank you for being a great manufacturer and partner over so many years. You’ve continued to innovate and explore and bring us products that we love as enthusiasts, as an enthusiast yourself. Much honor, respect, and smiles to you for being a good man, also, treating your customers well. You have brought many people joy and satisfaction through the power of Light.

Three cheers for Woolpants!

If so, a terrific milestone. Simon Mao is an exceptional ambassador in this genre. Best wishes and many thanks.

Indeed, many blessings on Simon and family! Thank you for all the help you’ve been, to me personally and so many of my friends!

That’s Simon’s nickname in Chinese. Happy 10th anniversary to my favorite flashlight maker!

Simon/Convoy is awesome!

Thank you for making such high quality flashlights at very affordable prices. And offering all the parts for us modders.

And for being so active here on BLF and your exceptional customer service. :trophy:

Congrats, Simon!
I love Convoy flashlights.
Some of them are the best budget throwers available, which is what I’m currently into.
I EDC a somewhat large Convoy flashlight, and it’s amazing.

Congrats to Simon and his team.

I enjoy buying things from Simon, as it doesnt feel like I am purchasing from a big store

Built this around a Convoy prototype… 96mm reflector! So robust I actually threaded the top and bottom and built the light onto the reflector!

Oh how I wish Simon had decided to build this size light!

Edit: With the adapter sleeve threaded onto the reflector the ability to dial in focus for different throw lengths is simple! Not the same as an optic zoom, merely threaded adjustment to focus the beam at the range desired…. Now why has no mfr done this?

This sounds really cool, do you have a series of images or video as demonstration?

Keep up the good work Simon!
10 years already

Some time ago, I had my mind set on a Convoy flashlight being as my first proper work/EDC flashlight. Since my work requires light, and sometimes a lot of it, Convoy was the single brand that fulfilled all the requirements I had for a flashlight.

It had to be quality made, water resistant, and not expensive. It had to be fixable by myself, and having readily available parts that can be ordered without issues, and accept 18650 and 18350 batteries. Yeah… not much chance of all those boxes being checked in today’s market, for a nice price.

So, Convoy S2+ with an 519A, OP reflector, in orange with a metal switch, pocket clip and a short body tube as an extra became my proper first flashlight love. And what a nice flashlight it is.

So, Mr. Simon, I don’t know you personally, but thank you for being there for us. I wish you A LOT more years, best of health and happiness.

My first serious flashlight, not a cheap plastic toy. My (almost) ten year old Convoy M1 . All the best Simon.

Congratultions for the 10th Anniversary of Convoy.

I am a fan of Convoy flashlights. But sometimes it is difficult to find Convoy flashlight Store on Ali Express. The other Convoy shops always show up first whenever I key in the search for Convoy !

May I suggest a name for the original Convoy shop:

“Simon Mao’s Flashlight Emporium”

I’m curious how you get rid of the oxide layer?

Thank you for your support.
