I have been using the Convoy M21H for a while now and I like the beam profile very much. Is there any 21700 Convoy (or other than Convoy) headlamp with similar beam profile?
The Convoy H4 is the only Convoy headlight with a TIR lens, if that’s what you want.
What emitter does your M21H have?
If you get a similar emitter, that’s your best chance for a similar beam profile.
Thanks! My M21H is with TIR Linterna with XHP70.3 HI R70 LED.
Okay, I’d go with the H4 with XHP50.2
That should be pretty similar to an M21H with XHP70.3 HI R70.
EDIT:
You could also go with the H3 with XHP50.3 HI R70
It doesn’t have a TIR lens, though.
Also, I don’t know much about the 3V XHP50.3 HI emitter choice for the H3.
Someone else on BLF should know the difference between the two.
[never mind]
What kind of TIR lens does your M21H have? The 12 degree one, right? Then, H4 with 10 or 15 degree lens (TIR lens for H4 with SST40 XHP50.2, 8 kinds in one pack - Convoy flashlight) should come close.
Yes, my M21H has the 12 degree TIR Lens.
Lens Type: ar-coated glass lens and 12 degree TIR bead lens
I am still not too sure what the differences are between H3 and H4.
Google result: The primary difference is the optical system: the Convoy H3 uses an Orange Peel (OP) reflector, while the Convoy H4 uses a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens, resulting in a wider, more even flood beam from the H4 and a more traditional, deeper beam from the H3.
This thread is all about TIR lenses and traditional reflectors…
Another dumb question: what do these mean? 1%, 10%, 40%, 100%? Of what? Lumen?
Current. Lumen levels will be a bit different. In the sake of simplification you can take that as lumen levels.
