Are there any decent headlamps using 18350 batteries? I think that Soffirn (I’m not sure if this is truly Soffirn’s) H25LR is just great, with its simple high CRI + 660 nm deep read (regulation aside), but is there something similar with the shorter batteries?
Here’s a list of lights that can be used as a headlamp and at least have an 18350 option

Skilhunt H200 mini (the red is 620nm)
Nice, and probably nothing wrong with it, but I wish it had a regular USB-C charging and be a bit more budget friendly…
Would these two take 18350 batteries? I thought they were 16340.
My bad, they are. But here
Cheers! If it only had the red LED as well… I guess you can’t have everything.
I prefer to have a spare battery to swap in. I dont like to put a light out of commission, so it can act as a charger.
and be a bit more budget friendly…
Skilhunt uses Regulated Drivers w NoPWM… most other lights use FET and PWM
the taste of quality lingers long after the price is forgotten
if you just want a cheap usb headlamp, the Sofirn HS10 can do that, but be sure to unscrew the tailcap when not in regular use, as the parasitic drain will kill the battery in 2 months (and its not 18350). Nor does it come w a Nichia 519a like the Skilhunt does…
It looks like there is slim picking in the 18350 headlamps department, especially with good primary and red emitters, like the simple @Sofirn H25LR. I wonder if there would be an interest should one be on offer?
Wurkkos HD15R is worth looking at.
Oh, and that could be shortened to 18350, I imagine?
It actually even comes with short tube!
Yep, standard Sofirn/Wurkkos threads.
I have the non-red emitter version. I don’t find flood/throw to be very useful to me so I probably should have gotten the red one. It’s easy enough to emitter swap.
But also this one… :-(
18350 tube for Convoy H1
There is also Sofirn SP40 and SP40A both of which include short 18350 tube. Does anyone have any experience with them?
The SP40A with the 18350 tube would be such a sweet light if it had the FC11C new regulator (and maybe a little red LED somewhere ;-). It’s probably still sweet enough… Could anyone comment from experience: especially if you have the LH351D version - is it nice?
