My mom’s heart stopped on June 19th, 2025.
She was just outside our house, and she fell down on her face.
A friend of my mom found her lying on the ground, bloodied.
By then, my mom had regained consciousness, and my mom’s friend contacted me.
My friend’s mom and I helped my mom get up on her feet.
My mom cleaned up her wounds and she called an ambulance.
While my mom was in the ambulance, her heart stopped again.
Shortly after that, the ambulance took my mom to the hospital.
On the 19th, the last time I saw my mom, she was unconscious.

Fast-forward a couple of days to today.
My mom is back home.
While at the hospital, a heart surgeon installed a pacemaker in my mom’s heart.
My mom is fine, though she is not allowed to drive until she gets the okay to do so.
My mom has scratches and bruises on her face and body from the fall, but she should have a full recovery. 
Here’s to a speedy recovery.

That’s scary stuff. I’m glad she’s okay. Or, uh, okay-ish at least.
It’s so important to have people in your life, so someone will actually notice and provide help when stuff like this happens… far too many people are alone, and aren’t found until weeks later.
Jesus, that’s… scary.
Hope she’s doing okay now.
Yep, I was scared because I didn’t know how serious the situation was.
She says that she’s fine now. 
My mom didn’t get much sleep at the hospital, partly because her bed was quite uncomfortable, so she’s a bit sleep-deprived. 
They always say they’re fine…
Me, too. I could be bleeding out my eyes, and…
“Hey, you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine, why?”
Very scary indeed. Hope she can get back to normal.
Several years ago, my mom tripped on some uneven concrete in the driveway, and she fell on the left side of her face.
When her heart stopped a couple of days ago, she once again fell on the left side of her face.
Both times, the right side of her face was just fine, and I am reminded of Two Face from the Batman universe. 
Those things scare the $*** out of you!

Give her some TLC. She has earned it.
Yeah, I’ve been nicer to her than usual, but I still make fun of her, too, because I really enjoy giving friends and family a hard time. 
Scary stuff. I hope she recovers fully.
When my mom fell on the 19th, she thinks that she suffered a mild concussion.
She can read, and she can watch TV, but not for very long.
The good news is that with each passing day, she’s getting better and better, and she’s usually not in any pain despite her injuries.

She probably has been short of breath after walks for a while. My mom got so bad, going to the bathroom she stay sitting on the toilet a long time. She didn’t want to go to the hospital, the old man went in 3 yrs before and never came home. THe Pacemaker fixed her till her mind went bonkers 10 yrs later.
Glad to hear your moms doing good, you only get one. Enjoy her while you have her.
