Just wanted to say hello to everyone. A little about me, I'm a Surefire incan guy at heart. No need to jump up and down though. But, I have owned and do own several budget lights such as Trustfire X9, a couple Eagletac D series, Solarforce L2X and extended. Looking forward to learning about some of these lights/brands new to me.
Welcome to BLF, Curdog!!
Welcome aboard, Curdog!
I don't think anyone this forum doesn't like a surefire ...it's a flashlight isn't it ? :P
welcome to BLF Curdog
Surefire.. Aren't they a Solarforce clone?
Welcome Curdog, nice to have you with us.
Welcome to BLF, Curdog!
I hope you enjoy your stay.
Welcome Curdog.
Those Surefire Incan lights were the best in their day. I remember them vividly. Now not so much.
Now it sound like you have some of the better budget lights. The X9 is certainly a well liked light.
Solarforce - well they certainly have their fans :-) (where's Foy??) and for good reason.
I just hope you threw out your creditcard before joining here. It is the most expensive forum I ever joined!
So many lovely lights and so little money :-( (story of my life really, now we just need 3 notes and its a country song :-O )
Have fun.
Welcome to BLF.. this is the place!!
Welcome curdog.
The Flashaholic's Blues
"So many lovely lights and so little money
Thought I'd found a cheap hobby, heh, that's kinda funny
My house is re-mortgaged, my woman she gone
I bought one flashlight too many, she said "So long"
So I'm all alone, my lesson is learned
Don't do what I did, you'll only get burned
Now I'm through with flashlights, the damage is done
Ain't buyin' no more.. Hmm, well, maybe just one
If someone can wrap a tune around that, we got a classic
EDIT:
Garry, you talked me into it. So, by popular demand, this for the extended remix:
"An' I still got ole 'Sipik', my four legged friend
Unlike my missus, he's stayed to the end
All he needs is a feed an' a walk twice a day
Now, which L2P will I get, the blue or the grey?"
Welcome Curdog. Nothing wrong with a Surefire, own a few myself. It is, however, easier to justify a new light to yourself or your spouse that costs significantly less then a Surefire with nearly the all quality and all of, if not more of the performance. One budget light a month will usually go unnoticed, One $200 light a month will likely cause friction at Casa de Cone. Just saying.
Welcome to

Welcome! And Lensman, aren't you missing a line in there about your dog?
EDIT - Now you've got it! Love it! Could be the BLF theme song (well for some anyway).

Hey, they're all just songs about me.
Aloha and welcome to BLF Curdog!
Welcome to the friendliest flashlight forum!
Haven't been a member but a few days and am already laughing. That's what this hobby is supposed to be, FUN.
Thanks!
OBTW, over the last 5 or so years I've spent way more than I care to admit and need to chill until my daughter graduates college. But that Fandyfire STL v6 looks pretty nice.
