Hello from Salamanca (Spain)

Hello to everybody!

It is a pleasure for me to join this great family. Although I have not decided to sign up until now, I’ve read BLF from the darkness for many months. My English level is not as good as I would like and I often require the help of Google translator. Please, excuse me if I do not understand me correctly.

My name is Luis and I am hooked on flashlights for many years.

I live in Salamanca, a small historic city in western Spain. It is a beautiful and quiet college city. Here I show you some pictures of the city taken from Internet

Maybe you’ve heard about the frog on the skull. Tradition says that if you do not find the frog on the facade of the university, you do not approve your studies.

It is also a modern city. This astronaut was added in the last restoration of the gothic cathedral, in 1992.

I wish you like it.

I bought my first “powerful led flashlight” with a generic led and about 60 lm, for my work. I work as general and digestive surgeon and I use compact flooders to explore wounds and perform many cures. They are a great help for me. My current working flashlight is a warm Prime C2.

After that first cheap flashlight, I bought “some” more…and today I have over a hundred. As time passed my preferences have been defined and now my favorite lights are compact throwers. In these moment my preferred ones are Tiablo A10g with XPG2, Ultrafire M9-U2 with dedomed XML2, both of them overdriven, and Armytek Predator Pro.

I like the cheap flashlights that have the capacity to be modified. I have performed many easy mods, such as led replacement, dedoming, sense resistor mod, led reflow and anodized removing. Much of my knowledge comes from this forum. Thank you!

This is a link to my flashlight collection in Forolinternas.com, the spanish flashlight forum.

Welcome Lfatman
I’ve been working in Salamanca (rural areas, windfarms) for months, and slept in Salamanca. It’s a nice city, buy the thing I really loved was
I bought several batches like this, loved the smell in the hotel room when I came back from work…
So, for all of those planning to visit Salamanca, don’t forget to taste the great selection of Ibérico lunch meat: jamón, salchichón, chorizo, longaniza…

Welcome, Spaniard !
Love the astronaut !
