I was hoping to find some help identifying the COB led in the picture above. I’d be interested in finding the lumen output, CRI, and if it is upgradable. The light operates on a 1s2p 18650 pack. Forward voltage is 3v and pulls 3 a. Chip size is 19mm x 19mm, emitter is 17mm.
If anyone can provide some info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yep, I can’t find a COB led anywhere close to that voltage. The PCB applies full pack voltage to the led in the highest setting. I measured it several times. Always 3v.
Yeah I agree. The heat dissipation isn’t anywhere near the capacity of the lights that this one is knocking off. The led is housed in an aluminum cylinder. I might fab an aluminum ring to increase the mass.
