[Help me choose] Sofirn SK40 vs Wurkkos TS11

Hi all,

I’m looking for a nice thrower to put in the backpack together with my Wurkkos TS22 to have a do-it-all flood + throw combo.

I know that it may seems a crazy comparison (and probably for this reason I can’t fine anywere a direct comparison), but, how the SK40 would compare with the TS11 (in the configuration with the 18650 tube) ?

The price is pretty much the same, same 40mm head diameter, the beam profile should be similar and also the usable throw should be the same.
Even if…as a newbie I can’t really understand how they can be so similar if the claimed power is so different…

So, it’s a straightforward choice to get the SK40 for the better driver or I’m missing something in the equation?!
I wouldn’t like that the SFT-70 can’t match long range performance of the SFT-40 even if in a more powerful package.

What do you think?!
Any advice will be really appreciated!

Thanks

P.S. ..next step in throw range will be to get a SF26/TD01C…but now for now because I don’t think it will be so easy to carry in the backpack.

Get both.

I want to take advantage of the flash sales both from Sofirn and Wurkkos.

I think I will pull the trigger on SK40 and, instead of
the TS11, from Wurkkos I will get the TD01C.

And, while I’m shopping I’m tempted to get also a Q8 Plus that for 60 punds seems a good bargain.

In this way I would have a “light duty” combo with TS22 + SK40 and a “heavy weight” combo with Q8 Plus + TD01C.

The funny thing is that I don’t know where or when I will ever use any of this flashlight…but I want them all!
At the moment the only 2 that I’m using almost everyday are a HD01 Pro at work and a tiny TS10SG on the pocket of my jacket.

Great choice!
The TS11 was underwhelming and the TD01C is much more useful.
I will say I’m not a fan of the dual switch.
