Help need for parts

Can anyone tell me of a site that sells the aluminium tailcap retaining rings that have a thread on the outside and the 2 little holes for screwing into place. I dont have the exact measurements yet, so I am just looking for places that sell them.
I have looked at the usual - Lightmalls, CNQ, Fastech, DX etc and while they all have a lot of parts, no-one has these that I can find.
I have a host that didnt come with one.
Any help would be appreciated.

Never run across that part for sale on its own.

What host & where did you buy it? Might have got left out by mistake.

They don't exist separate.

You can sometimes do a workaround by using a switch PCB that's big enough on the OD to contact the rear of the battery tube directly. That's how they end up sometimes after shimming the switch boot to make one tailstand and you run out of room for parts in there. It's a little more trouble if you remove the tail to swap batteries (the parts can fall out if you forget), but the flip side is that it has a better electrical path without the dinky retaining ring in the circuit.

Its for a Trustfire TF-R2. I believe you could buy them as a host a few years ago. I actually got this one from a member on BLF who has had it for a while. The part was not included.

Yeah and knowing my luck I would forget. I wonder if I could just solder a normal washer in there. I could remove the solder if I ever needed to replace the switch but would it cause other electrical problems ? You can see I have know idea. This host can use a P60 Drop-in so I thought it would be a good place to start putting a light together rather than full on modding.

chinese budget manufacturers use as many thread diameters/densities as there are flashlights, but every now and then a part from one flashlight fits on another, it gives me a wee happy moment when that happens.

There is a short dutch poem, describing how the lid of a middlesize 4oz pot of Marmite fits on a small pot of Sandwichspread, and the little moment of joy that arises when the Sandwichspread lid appears to fit on the Marmite pot as well :-)

I have seen weirdness like pill from Light A will fit perfectly in Light B, but the pill from Light B will in no way shape or form screw into Light A, at all, forget about it.
