Hey All....New Member from TEXAS....

Hey Everyone,

Just found this place and like how it is for those of us that either can’t or DON’T want to spend $150 on a flashlight.

I’ll be doing a lot of reading and posting on here to learn some things about these BUDGET lights and buying a few.

Thanks for the forum…

Nalajr

I hope you enjoy your stay & keep coming back, Nalajr!

Welcome!

Don't blame us ....

if you are afraid of spending 150$

RUN

at least it won't be on ONE flashlight :)

welcome to blf

Don’t buy, build. Welcome.

Welcome Nalajr!

Welcome from another Texanite!

Welcome from Baytown, sister in law lives in Spring

If you call that living.

Welcome.

You look for the free among the slaves (to flashlights).

We use the term 'budget' to tell ourselves that we're not spending that much and we could be doing worse.

We just end up buying more flashlights.

Welcome to the downward spiral BLF forum! J)

I “skimp” on a lot of stuff in my life, i am known as the goofy guy who will have “whatever” rigged up with duct tape and hose clamps… but it works

a very few things in my life? i need the proper or expensive item, for specific needs… and then i am comfortable spending “seemingly too much” on whatever is the best or fits my needs.

but, only if it is warranted to do so.

I can UNDERSTAND the NEED for a good flashlight, say for a cop or something, or, a military or swat guy who’s life depends on it.

but, even then, i think “100 dollars” should be plenty enough… no, i have seen small flashlights selling for as much as 300 to 400 dollars. Even for a police oficer on duty? i think a 300 to 400 dollar flashlight is “a little much” over the top… i think its price gouging, and i think my tax dollars are buying the goodies, so, price is no object.

welcome to the club…

There is a saying in the Marines we all learned “If it’s stupid but works, it ain’t stupid”

Welcome!
Enjoy finding all those quality budget lights…

Welcome to the forum Nalajr. You will (or have already) notice a lot of non-budget builds here. They tend to get a lot of attention because they are impressive. Many of us though, have a real appreciation for a light made on a shoestring budget. Especially, when it outperforms expensive lights.

sedstar, I can appreciate the "goofy" label. Sounds like you just refuse to conform when it doesn't make sense. Good to have a fellow "goofy" brother here.

Welcome to BLF, Nalajr!

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard, have fun and don't hesitate to ask questions...there's a lot of folks here more than happy to help out and point you towards your goals. (Helps us feel better about what WE'RE spending, when we can help someone else spend their own hard earned monies!) :)

Spring, TX. If you drove straight south for 40 minutes (on a good day) you would be in my neighborhood.
