Hi, im new to the site. I have the flashlight bug. A friend of mine introduced me to DX. After purchasing my first flashlight (UF 502), i have been addicted ever since. I want to get to know the inner workings of these LED lights and hope to get into modding them.
Lights i purchase recently: TF X7, X8. These are the best ones i own so far. I guess the XML t6 are pretty good. What others that are better than these? I hear alot of good stuff about the Fenix lights but I want to stick to the 18650 batteries.
Welcome to BLF, Unknown! I hope you enjoy your stay. I have a lot of fun here and I think you will too.
As _the_ mentioned, the KD C8 is a very nice light. If you want something compact, cheap and fairly bright, the UniqueFire UF-2100 is what I EDC. If you're looking for a headlamp, check out the UltraFire UF-H3. Those are my three favorite lights. I don't have any first-hand experience with better lights, like what you're probably after.
You'll discover a lot of exciting torches here at BLF that you simply *MUST* have, but if I could offer a friendly piece of advice, don't be too hasty with your 'Buy Now' trigger. Most lights have been reviewed and discussed at length so you can take your time deciding before spending. Hope you enjoy your time here.
You already have a VERY nice thrower there with the X7. Check out the rave about that one here (I've got it and modified to XML - still modding for MORE throw).
Anyhow just hope you have fun here. I do. And spend a lot more money than you ever thought you would! ;-)
Welcome Unknown! I can make you a - big - list with all the flashlights you "need", but I will try to be modest. A Fenix TK-35 (it uses 18650s) and at least 7 Solarforces (one for each day of the week ). And don't forget the Manafont Ultrafire XML 3 mode dropins (10 of them is a good start ).
Have bought and sold hundreds of lights. Was cruising around China and found this forum mentioned on Ultrafire's web site. Wow - info overload, very cool. After getting dealer accounts at a number of places it seems logical to go to the source and buy a pile of lights. A friend working on a utility power station: routine maintenance shut down (nuclear plant). I sent him with a XML t6 single 123 light, he sold 23 of those little gems. Being hounded by people wanting me to get them lights has pushed me to look for a supply chain. Strange fact but most of the human race does not know these lights exist. Currently hunting for the place to buy 1 - 2 hundred lights.
