Hi. This is SK from Singapore, who got rejected by the mod at Candle power, lol.

Hi Guys, This is SK from Singapore and nice to meet you.

Trying to get some advice about my light, who has somehow gotten its reflector hazed over. This is a streamlight protac 1l-1aa.

Are you the original owner? Its likely the same stuff that accumulates on the inside of your windshield. Did you take it apart to clean it?

Hi Zoulas, yes I am the original owner butI don’t seem to be able to access to unscrew the top part. If this normal to have stuff burnt off from the led?

Its been reported here before although not on this particular model.

welcome to BLF SK

maybe water vapor from your humid climate?

the bezel probably unscrews, it might be glued
you could try unscrewing the bezel by using metal tools, protecting the light with leather:

metal tools are a last resort, a more gentle tool would be some strap wrenches:

it really helps to heat the light up first, to soften any glue… you can heat it by putting it in the hot sun for 30 minutes… or by dipping the tip of the bezel in boiled water for 10 seconds…

if you do open the light, do not touch the reflector… it will damage the shiny coating… the only cleaning option would be to pour alcohol over the reflector, but if it is water vapor, it might just evaporate once you open the light.
