High CRI recommendation

Not sure if this exists, but hoping somebody could point me in the right direction. I’m looking for a high CRI (219B, SST-20 or LH351D, or others) light with built in charging to support the use of a li-ion cell. Ideally I’m thinking a 1x18650 which can run 2xCR123 as emergency back up (though obviously couldn’t charge those). I’d like to keep it no larger than a G2/6P at most. Suggestions?

Do you really need USB charging? If not, look at the Convoy S2+ and S12 which has high-CRI emitter options, and get yourself a decent multi-chemistry charger.

I support this suggestion!
BTW, if you prefer an even beam (without hotspot and a slight tint shift) buy yourself a frosted or pebbled TIR optic to use instead of the reflector.
It looses some throw, but gains quality! :+1:

Wurkkos FC11 2700k or 4000k or 5000k. Type C. A very nice UI. If you want a spare battery get another 18650

Good suggestion! Not a huge fan of side switches, but I can deal with that (just hate side + tail switch). Not sure I want to deal with a hold-for-off UI, though.

I don’t need another light, period. I would like to find one that is “ideal” for travel, for me. Hence the on board charging and being able to take primaries if needed.

Interesting. Pretty close but I really do want primary support. Without it, I’m not really any better off than my SC64W with my 2x18650 charger/powerpack.

I’m fine doing light modding as well, if necessary. I wonder if the Neutron 2c v3 would be worth doing an emitter swap, I do have a couple SW40, SW45, LH351D and SST20 emitters left over. I like my Thrunite TH20 and Ti3 well enough…

if you stay in group B, its 1 click on, 1 click off

Sofirn IF25 tint ramping (non-Anduril version). Works with primaries as well. Downside is it has two hi cri warm sst20 and two cool white sst20, so hi cri is really only at the warmer range.

Why do you specify the tint ramping IF25 instead of the SST20 IF25A? According to the Sofirn specs they are both 3v-4.2v rated (and no IPX rating at all, bummer). How is the durability and reliability of this light? While I wouldn’t put them against my Surefires, my other Sofirn lights do seem rather solid.

I should have said they allegedly take cr123. I do not own one so I haven’t tried it and I cannot attest to the durability and reliability.

Sofirn’s store on AE and amazon give more details:
Constant current driver
“Typical operating voltage: 3.0V – 4.2V
Voltage limit: 2.6V – 6.6V
Battery options: One 21700 (recommended), one 18650 Li-ion battery or 2x CR123A for emergencies”

It’s also listed as IPX8.

The IF25 uses a buck driver so it makes sense, the IF25A is direct drive.
