Hobbyking AA or AAA NIMH rechargeables any good?

Hi
Looking for Eneloop alternatives, has anyone got any opinions on Hobbyking’s Turnigy Rechargeable Battery AA 2550mAh NiMH or the AAA 900mAh ?

Or are these pitched at TV remotes etc instead of flashlights?

Thanks

G'day Ragsy,

Have a look at:

Btw, I dont have any, but a few of my friends prefer them because of their cost to performance ratio.

Best Regards,

George

Hi KG
Very interesting reading
Might order a couple from HK even though there’s $7 shipping - Aussie’s get pumped all the time with shipping!

Thanks from one George to another

Have you tried the Ikea Ladda NiMh cells? Test of Ladda AA 2000mAh (Green-Silver)
I can’t comment on their performance for more powerful lights but at $4.00 for a pack of 4 they’re worth a go.

Thanks
I don’t get to Ikea here in Melbourne too often but I’ll check them out

They are good but with shipping might cost you the same or more than Eneloops seeing as we always have cheap deals on them these days in Aus.

The only thing to note is they are a little thicker than Eneloops, I’ve had one light they got stuck in and another peel the labels off them but that’s only 2 out of the 50 or so AA light I’ve used.

I’d prefer Eneloops but if you can’t find any at a good price then the Turnigy LSD batteries are a good alternative.
