How can I fix this Convoy T3?

It stopped working a couple of weeks after I bought it and the seller said at the time to send a video to prove it. I never got round to doing that though.

I tried an end cap from another T3 and that didnt work so presumably it’s a fault on the LED board?

Mine failed like that. I plan to grind down the MCPCB and put it in another flashlight.
I think it’s a driver issue but haven’t done any actual troubleshooting.

Can you get new drivers? I wonder if this was a common failure.

Yep, here: 17mm AA 14500 driver for T2 T3,12 groups,max 5A output - Convoy flashlight.

Would this work just as well?

Interestingly the driver in my light is different to the ones currently available.

I have this driver in both of my fairly new T3:

And yours is this:

I chose the cheaper one because I basically only bought them because they look nice (brass and camo)

Have you tried to clean the brass battery post on the driver to see if that helps? It looks like it got corroded or something is covering it. You may also want to sand it down with some light sandpaper.

And have you checked to make sure the driver is tightened down well with the retaining ring?

I have the same driver in my copper T3 that I bought a couple years ago and it works fine.
