How did we do? (FastTech.com)

Gotta love that!

Beg Fasttech for high CRI Nichia 219 on 16/20mm star

Someone requested the pig?

Any comment on these: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1420/10001901/1143804

If anyone has them, I would be interested especially in the length of the protected ones

I have these ordered a while ago from cnq, but I don’t recommend them. Capacity is only achieved with higher voltage of 4.3V but protection kicks in at 4.21 so there is no effort.
They are 69.8 mm long. I think that brand cells with attached protection circuits are all this length.
If I had to choose now I would go for Panasonic they are just a bit more.

Also I have damaged the shrink tube on mine when I tried them to put in a 2x 18650 battery case for charging. With a layer of additional tape they don’t fit in many lights. So I have to renew this in time….

Interesting… There has been some confusion about the max voltage of the cell, and even suppliers are unsure about it.

The questionably official datasheet for these cells show that these are rated for 4.2V max. (bottom of page 6.)

I always study datasheets of my cells, looks like 4.3V for me…?

What about these thing

I am wondering if a 18650 is in there…

Sorry, forgot to attach the datasheet on my previous post: http://www.stnd.co.jp/aspx/Class/Class2_2ELithiumIon.2009_E.PDF

I’m not quite sure why Sanyo and Panasonic would have same li-ion cell names; it does indeed become very confusing.

Are those two identical but rebranded cells? If so, why do they have different charge voltages? :~

Thanks for your comment!

Max cap. is not my goal, more likely decent capacity with “steep knee” discharge curve, which I have understood is good for 1 x 18650 cell flashlights.

In other words: I´m looking something with pretty similar discharge curve as in Xtar 2600´s but just a little better

I’m sure you have checked out HKJ’s battery comparison tool; you can select batteries under load with high current (2A-5A) and see how they perform in demanding situations.

Let us know what you choose to get!

Panasonic and Sanyo is the same. Panasonic has bought Sanyo.

You are right with the capacity vs. voltage…

The area under the discharge graph counts, it’s the energy.
I look always here, too

There’s always mentioned what energy is in a cell, like in the reviews from lgyte.
Also with higher voltage most torchedrivers seem to put more current out, so it’s brighter.

Sanyo red 2600 is very good, better than most other cells even with higher capacity.
If the 2800 version had a overvoltage protection with 4.3 V I would be happy but it has not. Probably will last very long because never loaded to 100%.

So I have ordered some of the xtar cells on wallbuys, too. But they seem to be like the black sanyo wich are not better than the TF flame 3000…

Hello Jasmine,

First of all good luck in your efforts with the new store in a very difficult competitive market.

I found your store from this site, i was impressed by the good comments and i already placed 2 orders of approximately $100.

What i have really appreciated, besides your very competitive pricing, is the fact that both my orders were dispatched ‘next day’.

My experience with other similar sites is that, more often than not, the items are not on stock and actual dispatching delays for many days or partial shipment is effected.

It is very positive that the response of your team to a question of mine was really fast and meaningful. I like the design of your site, simple and effective.

I may say, as well, that you have earned my trust from the very first moment which is rather strange in this market, but totally true!!

Please do keep up the good service, increase your line of products ( ) and good luck again!
Michael from Greece

Today I emailed FastTech about some concerns and Jasmine responded in hours, although I was not expecting a reply since it’s Sunday. Anyway, I was assured by Jasmine of the genuineness of their Panasonic NCRs (at a very competitive price), so I ordered 3 pairs as a test buy.

Well, we will find out in the coming days, the day of reckoning! So far, service is good, let’s see if their products are too.

I’ve already made a couple of orders from Fasttech, and have found their prices, customer service, and dispatch response times to be the BEST out of all the Chinese businesses I’ve purchased from.

Highly recommended!

Red Sanyo would be pretty much the case I´m looking for but I´m not sure, if they are available as protected?

edit:

Are these same cells with protection?

Yep
Edit not sure anymore…

I'm really excited, Fasttech is going to start stock the circuit boards for the ML-102 charger. So now when making battery packs I can solder one of those in for charging and USB output. :D

From the looks of it, FT looks to be a promising vendor. I am waiting on a few items to come in stock before ordering…so I appreciate the feedback here.

Yes, but how are those chargers rated for their CV/CC curve?

Here a quote from HKJ is.

"This charger is a very compact LiIon charger with dual functionality (Can both charger USB devices and 18650 batteries), the charging profile is good, but not optimal for speed. I can see two obvious applications for this charger, one is for people with only a few 18650 batteries, the other is in a travel kit, where the ability to charger USB equipment from an 18650 battery can be very useful."
